Thread: Force of will... What's the point?

I mastered TKA a day after the patch where they made it a liability to have FoW. Now, I tested the skill over the last few days. Out of 20 FoW's over the last 3 days, here are the stats:

5= failed +100 bf +100 wounds to HAM
9= stood up with +100 bf +100 wound to HAM
4 =fatigue overcomes me+100 bf +100 wound to HAM, plus DB from NPC +100 bf/ham wound
2 = got up with no problems.

So, out of 20 attempts, 18 of them mademe wish I gotslained so I could come back and start the mission over. With this in mind, what is the point? I say, why even give us something that rarely ever works? My feeling is that so many stupid whiners called NERF that the devs followed through. From what I understand, FoW was broken for some time. Then they fixed it for two weeks and followed it up with a nerf. When I was researching this game, I read that the devs intended TKA to be a tank. If people don't believe me, I'll follow up with a link. I'm sure I can find it. But back to FoW. I have half the mind of wishing they should make it a real skill or take it away. I'd prefer it to be a real skill. Any opinions? After this, I will NEVER use FoW again.

I've used it four times, twice I've received -200 modifiers to all my stats and got up, once I didn't get up and once i got up fine...

I'll still use it whenever I'm about to get DBed.

...
the point would be you ACTUALLY STANDING UP right after incap?!

Ive never(at least as I remember) suffered greatly for using FoW(just ran away and got prepared for another round)

nothing like watching that nightsister walking her slow, cocky walk to DB you, and then, you hopping up in her face and landing a KnockDown Dizzy and Taking her out for the count... In one click of the botton you go from certon death to victory, or at least a burt running for your life...

FoW rocks... Part of me wishs it had a shorter timer.... but the other part of me is after if we did... it'd be overpowerd...

as for hammperd stats after fow... i'm normaly buffed anyway, so -100 or -200 isn't as much an issue as dieing and losing my 10k buffs...

FoW is almost a good a trick to play as Feign death. The way my HAM is set up (heavy on the mind stats) and the fact that i'm a drug addict (muon all the time, high is good), I usually incap health or action. FoW works well when fighting anything that DB's as you can FoW before they get to you. I have used it against Nightsisters, popped up, used a stim and been at almost full HAM ready to deal out sweet revenge. It is also a good trick in PvP whenever a ranged person has kited you, incaps you and runs upto finish you off. Before they get too close, FoW, pop a stim and KD/dizzy 'em. The timing is kinda tricky but it does work.

It is the last of my last resorts.

Seriously, who cares about wounds and battle fatigue? Meditation takes care of the wounds and battle fatigue really only matters in PvP (combat medic diseases are horrible when you have high battle fatigue) and when you are trying to get a doctor buff.

At least TKAs get the option. I don't think you should be complaining about it being a liability. If you feel it is a liability, just don't use it.

It is an awesome feature.

First of all, let's say you are doing faction missions are you get incapped. The faction NPC is going to db you. If you use force of will and stand up, one of two things happens. One is you stand up with enough life left to finish the mission, which is cool. The other is you stand up without life left to finish the mission, in which case it gives you a few seconds to run away. Either way, you just avoided getting waxed.

I love FOW! saved my life so many times.

Also, yesterday I was dueling a master fencer/TKA combo. He laid on two bleeds and we fought until the end. The bleeds made it easy for him to incap me so I was knocked out while he still had about 200 health.

He used a macro that pointed at me and said "you have just been eliminated by imperial forces" and he was about to DB me. Force of will, uah3 and he was gone. wasted no time in dbing him. made him look dumb.
