Thread: tka vs. Nightsister Elder and other 100% kinetic resistance

I was trying to solo some Nightsisters when I came up against an elder with 100% kinetic resistance. Is there any way to take them down using only TKA attacks, or do I need to get a gun?
I am a very new to master TKA, and master Chef. I have no marksman skills at all. I had a scout blaster with me, and managed to do about 3 points of damage each time I hit. I did nothing with my vks. At 26k HAM, I wasn't going to try and stick it out doing 3 a shot. My buff would have worn out before I killed her.
Any advice on taking on these 100% resist MOB's would be appreciated.

Bring a friend with a gun. I was at the Mining Outpost on Dantooine last night when someone lead a Dark Jedi Master into town. Three TKMs and I were all hitting him with everything we had for nearly 30 min. All we did was tank on him while a Combat Medic poisened and diseased him. When the fight was finally over I got zero XP and the same for the other 3 TKMs. That indicates we did absolutely no damage to him.
It was a hell of a lot of fun anyway. I love being a TKM.

So what your saying is that the tk training who is suppose to be made to handle jedis actualy doesnt work at all against jedis?
Its kind of funny in a WAY!
I have never taken on a Player Jedi so I can't spek for them, but yes at least with a Jedi Master NPC TKM is virtually useless at least at killing him. We do seem to tank well against them since we kept his attention pretty well. And again if by doing that I can make an opening for another member of my team to take him down then that is good eough for me. As a Pistoleer I went one on one with a Dark Jedi NPC and he killed me in 2 or three hits. So a TKM helpedme a lot more than my pistol did. At least I survived this encounter and the same can't be said for the Jedi.

People drag those in all the times. you did do damage, but it takes a ton of people they have 90 to all resists and like 350k Hams, so, the chances of getting loot on him are very rare, you have to outdamage like all 30 other people....GL

I am a Master Swordsman, Master Brawler, TKM, Novice Pikeman and Fencer 0/4/4/0. Swordsman was my original prof, with TKM being my newest love. I decided to keep swordsman, instead of going for some ranged defenses and so far I have yet to worry about running into trouble fighting Jedi. The reason I kept Swordsman is the awesome mind damage you can do at close range. Jedi usually run at the site of an Acklay, speed sliced, PH or a Damage Sliced Scythe when they know you can cause mind bleed and Head Hit 3 as fast as you can push the button. Through in a mind fire Pike, TKM headhits, and Fencer Dodge and most wont stay and fight. Not being able to shoot sucks, but warcry 2 usually stops them long enough to pull off a unarmed dizzy/kd before hitting them again with the mind fire
So far this has worked well for me, although against a MR it isnt the best idea. Also since I have no BH skills, I have to tag along with a BH group and TEF ride to get at the Jedi, but its all worth it
