hey,

so i was reading that the NS's have their force powers back, and they sound pretty sweet.

so what i'm wondering is, now that they unnerfed the NPCs, how tough are they really?

i usualy creature hunt, but i do kill rebel NPCs for faction points and loot, and do janta and mokk missions for cash. so are things sort of things still soloable by a TKM who know what they are doing? (sorry to ask this question, but i'm at work for another 3 hours)

I was just out working on xp when I ran across 5 mauler NPC's on Rori. I easily whipped these things before and I'm only 0 0 2 2 TKA. Today was a different story.....2 stood off in the distance and used rifles to pound down my mind while 3 rushed in, switched to one handed swords and got me bleeding. In very short order, I was in serious trouble and thank the force I had my speeder bike close by.

I was a little miffed about this but I gotta say, this was MUCH more challenging than before and it seems more realistic. I'm still experimenting with these mobs to find out which ones are too tough to kick...but IMO, this is a welcomed change. Way to go devs.

Well to be short, I've gathered this from looking around the boards for the last hour or so

Nightsisters ARE using force powers again, oh and by the way, they now disable your bike also, so store it, or lose it!!!

Jantas/Mokks/Dantari/Kunga are using staffs and stone knives again

I've heard Swoopers using Strafe Shot, Mind Shot, and Other ranged specials, as well as changing weapons in combat

I personally got lucky and found a TKM NPC, he did use UH3, head hit, and unarmed combo2..... I had to db him because at that point I got scared and thought he would Force of Will, lol.

In all I'm very pleased that the game isn't soloable by everyone anymore. You get 2-3 Nightsisters on you now and you're dead, and Elders....are gonna be a group expidition again. So all the loot tables just became much more valuable.

oh yeah.....Imperial NPC's now use Teras kasi movements, change weapons use dizzy, blind, and stun, and can stack bleeds...../woot

Nightsisters are a lot tougher. I did some testing with NPCs before this went live. They certainly are tougher, but they are still soloable *if* you do some crowd control and play carefully. The main problem now is that their damage has increased just enough that you can't just run into a group of them and spin attack away anymore if you are by yourself. You will want to pull one or two away from the group and handle them bit by bit.

I also did a Janta mission run last night. They are still pretty easy but definitely harder. You *can* fight them as a tkm still without armor, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are buffed and have healing. They can dizzy/kd, bleed you, and toss in the occassional 1000ish damage hit. I'd say buffed with armor, or buffed with just healing and you should be fine though. You *will* want to kill them first before you take the lair though. All told, it slows down the money gain a bit from them, but now it is more like 150k to 200k per hour instead of 300k to 400k

Anyway, NPCs certainly are harder, but all of them are still soloable so long as you do some crowd control and come prepared. Honestly, its more interesting and fun
