Thread: Help For The New BH/TKM Guy

So I was a MBH, but am now a BH 3000, TKM. One of my shortcomings since I have switched to this template is my inability to stay on my feet in battle against Jedi, even after eating good Thakitillo and Ithorian Mist. So to get to the point, I am looking for advice as to what skills I can grab to help overcome this problem and I thought this would be the best place for it. The two options I'm looking at are Fencer 0040 or Fencer 0004. With option 1 I would have a great bonus to dodge and my dizzy resistance would be much higher. With option 2 I would have a total of +50 combat equilibrium, plus I could still eat the Thakitillo and Ithorian Mist.

Any feedback on this would be much appreciated! I'm at a total loss as to which of those options will have the greatest impact on my combat abilities.

Personally i'd go for option 3, take up pistoleer 0040 this is a great defensive line, and you could take up the bh pistols line to complement it. Also fencer dodge will not help you when you use tkm, it will only work if you are holding a fencer weapon. State defenses are not that good, as the states will stick on you eventually, all they have to do is try and inflict them a few times and they will stick.

what he said....


0/0/4/0 pistoleer is a must for fighting Jedi, you wont have to worry about being KD ever again and diizy is very rare..


This allows you to poor on the states which cause him to heal and spam his sabre throw trying for that KD..


I wouldnt even worry about using unarmedhit 3, Id stick to unarmedstun, unarmed dizzy, intimidate and maybe toss in a unarmedhit 3 just for the blind..


They key to taking out a high lvl Jedi is keeping them stated, so u must wear a +12 intimidate shirt so as to make sure your first one sticks and make sure to allows keep them stuned as this lowers their dmg output by 25% combined with intimidate a 48% psg and exo protein wafers ( 25% dmg reduction only 5 filling ) you are talking about defelcting 90% of sabre dmg..


Remember, exo protein wafers are your best freind at only 5 filling 20 attacks, use two slots on your toolbar and run a macro so that they are always being clicked, this insures that you are always getting dmg mitigation...I have yet to get to full during a fight, even 20 minute fights..

FYI, you will never Kill a High lvl Jedi on your own..They will not stick around after their force pool is diminished.But count them running from you as a win..

Xendi, I really like your strategy and am thinking about trying it out once I finish TKA. Do you wear comp. armor during the fight against the Jedi or do you stick with regular clothes and the PSG? Also, how much does a PSG go for?

Well for one thing, I never fight without mind buffs.Second as long as a Jedi is solo and there are no mobs around then I go without armor and wear my street clothes..


Also, PSG's are very tricky...First off they have to be atleast 45% to mitigate any dmg because by wearing one you are activating the LS medium AP so they get a bonus dmg on you..


basicaly with a psg of 45% you will mitigate 10% of the dmg roughly..


Another thing about PSG's is they lose their resist when you log out, so always make sure to keep them crated until u use them..There is a trick to getting the resist back but I will not get into posting about exploits on the forums, if you want to know then send me a PM or create a char on Lowca..


Another major thing you need to learn that 90% of the population dont know is how to get up from a KD/Dizzy should such a thng happen during a fight as this will be your downfall as it is the Jedi's..


Its very tricky and many people have their own methods for getting up within a couple of seconds.I use a macro that switches to another VK along with doing a special, the combo seems to work 95% of the time, sometimes I have to spam it 2 or 3 times but Im not down long enough for any major dmg..


And considering I just hit 1620 pvp rating and 90% of that is from Jedi then I think you know this is the ultimate build for hunting Jedi and fending off TEF'ers....Having BH pistol IV and 0/0/4/0 pistoleer allows me to equip my 403 max 532 with pup Geo blaster, so any melee that get in my way I smoke em in a few shots even with 40% stun comp...


Im not saying I dont die, and when I do it sucks because I lose 35 pvp rating at a time and only gain 7 or 8 back each kill, but Im very careful and dont go after Jedi I cant hope to best or the ones I know that allways travel in gank squads..


Theres plenty of FUN Jedi battles out there, dont piss yourself off by fighting Jedi you cant beet..Your best bet for high lvl Jedi hunting is group with another BH of the same build, no Jedi can hope to take both of you unless he exploits the DOT bug...


My freind and I have come very close to taking out a few Jedi Defenders/Sentinals but havnt found a way around Force Run...
