So, I did a search on these forums, but I'm still a bit confused. Is defensive acuity considered it's own type of defense, like counterattack, or does it just increase the chances of those happening? Also, if it is it's own type, is it worth picking up if I don't use TKA for combat?

DA is the Teras Kasi answer to dodge, block, and counterattack. DA is a defensive mod that gives you a chance to block, dodge, or counterattack. At the moment its broken though. If it were fixed then I imagine a lot of people would pick it up.

Its supposed to work the same way as dodge, block or counterattack, but instead of doing only one, on a successful save, it randomly picks one. Of course... people say that it is broken. I notice that dwarf nunas block more than I do as a TKM...

Take a look at this link
DA isn't actually broken, it just wasn't "brought up to par" when the other defenses were "updated."

So, it's really not worth getting to 4003 if I won't be using TK in combat? Would 4000 be smarter?

The funny thing about reading that linked post is the fact that I have been gone 5 months and there still spouting the same old crap about DA. Havent we been talking about this since the inception of DA and COB?
