I have tested this extensively the last couple of days. I have had a +15 set to test with...

Does this bonus not show up i the combat log?

Have I missed some developer post stating they dont work?

I WAS under the impression they worked, but they dont, sorry

I would be more than happy if anyone could object to this (with proof thanks :-)..

Could you be a little more specific? Are you talking about SEAs? Or just the regular unarmed damage skill mod you get for training unarmed, novice TKA, the power line and TKM? If its an SEA: does it have more than one skill mod bonus? What level TKA are you?

Hmm sorry about being too unspecific. I meant skill tapes and armor attachements.

The 250 dam modifier from master and damage enhancing food (burnout something) works perfekt.

Again im hoping for some clarification, this would be a great thing for our correspondent (if we have one) to ask the devs.

I have tested it with and without vk's, against knetic vulnerable mobs, players with armor and without. Same results no change in damage output according to the combat log.

The test is easy, hit your target 20 times or more, find the highest and lowest damage in the combat log. Then you have your damage range. Repeat with skilltapes on (i have a set of +15). If the damage range is exactly the same they dont work.

For reference, i made some posts about damage in this thread: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=teras_kasi_artist&message.id=75499

Now get out your calculator and review your combat logs if you dont believe me.

I've heard that none of the damage mods from tapes work. I had hoped that UA was an exception because we're the one profession that actually has a damage bonus skill. I myself have a belt with +6 UA damage but I never compared damage with it on and off.

That's weird how burnout sauce works but the sea's don't. Oh well, bring on that armor nerf! Once the armor nerf come though, everybody prepare for the onslought of nerf TKM posts again. haha

Are you using VKs when you test it? I know it does not work for VKs...might have an impact if you are truly unarmed. For what it's worth, the 2H and 1H damage SEAs don't work, either.

I cannot see how it could not work, as we have a modifier for unarmed damage, so it will simply supplement it.
Unless you can give us more extensive details on how you tested it and why you do not think it doesn't work then i shall reserve my opinion.

Hmm its not entirely weird. If you look at your skill window (Ctrl-s) find your skills and scroll down to Unarmed Damage. It says 250.

If you use damage food, it will change to 275 (with +25 food)

If you put on your sea's it will show 250/265 (+15 sea's) - (275/290 with the food still active)

So the game mechanincs know the difference and intentionally ignore the sea's..

Very Interesting!

This post is going to save me some money, no longer going to buy any Damage tapes thats for shore!
