Thread: *rant* i swear to go tka is the most gimpy profession unbuffed

currently i am 1-1-2-1 tka i feel that tka is gimpy till master i die alot more than i actully get exp thats with armor and Vk only thing i can kill is blue/light blue stuff thats it. am pulling my hair out to find out why i am having problems. are tka this weak till master?

No TKA are not weak as you level up. They are obviously not as powerful though. You just need to go up the trees in the correct order. I went up the power tree then the balance tree then the meditate tree. I mastered each tree before moving on and I have never died. Getting buffs before hunting makes a huge difference.

impossible to get buffs on my server so that wont work.

Personally I didn't find TKA to be gimped at all before master. But then I did follow a differnt tactic than you. I used speed sliced VibroKnucklers and went up the 3rd branch Power/Speed first. With whatever I could do in the 4th branch with Combat XP as I qualified. It was both the most fun and fastest gring I have ever done for a profession. Killing Hurton Huntresses on Dant it took me about a week without feeling like I wasgrinding at all, to make Master. I never died or even got incapped while doing it solo.
Edit: Why is it impossible to get buffs on your server? Are there no Master Doctors there? I pay between 10k and 15k if none of my guildmates are on. Two hurton Huntress missions or less and the buffs are paid for.

quesion was you buffed? where i am there is no doctors so i have to make due of what i got.

When you have meditation 2 you can buff yourself. 
Actually, thanks to defense acuity, unarmed toughness, and many other defenses we're one of the strongest professions unbuffed, just watch your HAM.
Also, why the heck aren't you taking up doctor yourself? A TK/Doc is a pretty nice combo, and if there were no doctors on my server I'd grind doc and make a fortune.

There are Doctors on TC they just don't sit in buff lines all day, they try to test what is broken in the game and improve the proffession try asking around and I am sure there are more then a few at any given major city

*NEWS FLASH*.... most professions are gimped when not buffed. I can't think of many that can be truly effective not buffed, with perhaps commando's with flamethrowers as the exception......

W/o VK and w/o buffs you can kill 2 naffs as a master (without being forced to fun or wait take drugs/food/sit down and rest/powerboost), so TKM pretty powerfull. I became master in 6h thanks to 2 buffs and a whole lot of dead naffs (may they rest in peace).

According to the bestiary on SWGCenter there is no such thing as a "naff" and I've never heard of one either.

I think I figured it out...
They must be talking about the "Sharnaff", which looks like a piket with a big fin on its head. You can find them on Corellia.

I am sorry but there MUST be doctors on your server. If there isnt I will personally go to the server and make millions of credits by making a doctor lol.
