It's a bug, it's not supposed to make sense.

Ok just to clear this up...

Unarmed damage is *not* broken. It works just fine. If it was broken we'd be doing about half the damage we do in combat.

What *is* broken is any attachment that has unarmed damage. Attachments with unarmed damage simply do not count.

Here's an easy way to look at this. Check out your unarmed damage mod. If it looks something like +100/+110, the first number is correct but the second isn't.
