I keep reading that TKM do not need armor, can someone explain why? Also if you wear armor as a TKM do you get added protection? Or would wearing armor be a bad thing for a TKM. What type of protection should a TKM wear now?

TKM's have Enate armor only slightly worse than a master defender jedi. If you equip armor this ability is negated making you less resistant to damage in most cases so Armor is not a good idea for a TKM.

And remember always use improved COB. That ability avoids so many hits it makes the enemy miss you like an old style dodge stacker.

I think it lasts 45 seconds. One thing to note you cannot initiate the COB while moving so you cannot simply create a looping macro. I am thinking having the COB macro send me a tell or something of that nature when it is close to running out so I know to start it again.

So…

How does the innate armour deal work with things like ubese shirts and mabari belts? Neither have any armour values, yet both are made by an armoursmith and hence considered armour.

Does wearing them negate a TK’s innate armour? Or are they now considered clothing due to the lack of any armour value?

I believe it stated in the pre-CU documentation that you only have innate armor when you are in unarmed combat (doesnt include VKs of course). I believe it said if you put a weapon in your hand or put armor on your body you lose the innate armor.

This is why I picked a ranged prof as my other master combat prof (besides TK and brawler) if I have no armor (and no innate) I dont want to be toe-to-toe with anything but rather use my ranged prof to bring them back in melee (crowd control) or prevent them from doing ranged dmg.

No, you can have anything in your hand, but if you put on anything classified as armour on your body it turns off.

Picked up TK just so my rifleman wouldn't have to wear armour and would have good defenses. Works great.

As for shirts and belts, I ahven't tried them. Put one on and see.
