i want an explanation of why our old good animations were taken, werent TKMs very good martial artist an was very flexible?

No other proffession can stand and tank damage like a Teras Kasi Artist. Any dedicated melee fighter or high end hunt leader would be loathe to drop TKM.

I couldn't disagree more TKM is still my favorite profession after the CU and perhaps it will always be. No other profession matches our defence abilities. I have spent the last 2 days dueling and reworking my template loosing comando for pikeman and fencer dabbler. While offensive skills have been dropped dramatically I am seldomly hit and the damage another character does to me is comparable to my own after enate armor is factored in and Improved COB is a must the defence boost of that skill is imence.

Good to see that you have a positive attitude, I have had TKM since a month or so after release...never dropped it not even for Jedi Knight.
I have been dueling my guild mates....we are metro so we have plenty of players to duel.
and the simple fact remainds.. TKM do not hit hard enough to incap players...they regenrate faster then we damage.
Pikeman will be the Melee profession of choice.
Again like i said I will never drop TKM...but I am extremely disappointed in our Combat Upgrade.

I need some help, my toon is a TKM and MM. I enjoy both of these professions and medic is so important in combat now. But the damage TKAdeals out is sad. Basically I see some of you have gone pikeman to hand out more damage is there any other skills that might help other than pike? Has anyone used one of the new knucklers and if so how is the damage. Any and all advice or comments are appericated. I really want to keep TKA but it is going to be diffcult to gain xp unless your get lucky and find a good group.

TKM's are not going to be a damage dealing profession post cu.


We are tanks now and I think we do a great job at it.



I was upset after the cu went live, I could not believe at how much has changed, but after I got use to the cu and how its combat is done, I love it. I think many of you need to practice at how the game is played now, this is not the same game now. Once you get use to how to manage your skills, TKM's are tough as hell. Make sure you power boost and use the improved COB, make sure you have no armor on what so ever. I can hold my own now 1 on 1 after etsting out the new skills and how to use them. Just my 2 cents

Pike man isn't really the way to go for damage. 2 handed has the better damaging specials, but Pikeman gives you the states intim warcry blind stun etc.. which are really usefull in pvp. when fighting other professions I've found that watching their green bar is a good idea seeings as mine never drops without using knuck's I know I will win the battle when that green bar is down to nothing they can no longer heal states and have to wait longer to use specials. Without unarmed 3and spin move we loose a lot of our damage potential making the battles much longer, but with our defence boost we have the survivability to last to the end of those battles and be the one standing. I know it's different, but I don't think it is harder. We just have to learn our new role and suplament it as we see fit.

i was Fencer/Rifleman before and now im Fencer/TKM


I have to weeks to repsec, but ive made my decision im staying with TKM

I am master TKM/Master Rifle (after last respec) and it is awesome.

Are TK what they used to be? Not at all. They have a role now. If you want to do damage and be the best tank, pick up a second proff that does damage.

I don't think it's the end of TKMs any more than the last two years has been the end of Smugglers.


I think I'd be perfectly happy if my Master Dancer/TKM AT LEAST had the same health as a double combat template. Why should Dancers have less health? Dancers are pretty damn healthy. 2k health is kind of hard to deal with if you actually WANT to get involved in the GCW and PvP...especially as a tank class.


The other thing that kind of irks me is the lack of interesting specials compared with other combat professions.


Oh and the 3rd thing; why oh WHY did SOE feel the need to nerf the animations? All that does is make the game less visually appealing...not something I think you'd do if you want to compete with some of the new games out there. Visuals are what help hook players initially IMO.
