A few of their top issues:

"We want to twirl our pistols"

"We want to put our pistols in holsters between fights"

"We want to be as good as bounty hunters in PvP"

While TKA and other melee classes have issues like "We'd appreciate benig able tostay in range of a movingtarget once in a while." Must...resist...pistoleer...tree...

I had to give a chuckle when I read the Pistoleer issues...

Giving Pistoleers dual wield (ie...double damage output if that's what they have in mind) would seriously put them at an advantage. Pistol is already, imo, one of the best ranged classes.

Now that I think about it, they actually did have a sort of "holstering" animation in beta but took it out just before release.

talk about a profession with nothing to complain about....

I heard the "we want to be able to use a mirror when kiting, annie oakley style" just missed the serious issues list.

Yeah, after I read what the pistoleers' issues were, I tried to use /berserk1 on my trashcan, but it failed. The trashcan hit me for 200 health damage, so I /berserk1-ed it again. I succeeded in berserking, but the trashcan kited me a little bit, and I was out of range. I caught up to it, and it hit me for another 150 health. By then my /berserk1 was over and I was *apparently* too calm to use it again. I tried to /peace it, but it didn't work. So, I ran into the other room, stupidly thinking that layers and layers of drywall and wooden beams would protect me. I was mistaken as the trashcan incapped me with an amazing 30mthrough-the-wall melee shot. Then it slowly walked over to DB me, but vanished as it was about to do it's grim duty.

Honestly, this class envy BS needs to stop. We have problems that we are trying to get resolved, be happy that at least some professions don't have as many (if any?) issues that melee in general suffer from. Complaining and critiqueing the other class issues, especially ones as trivial as new animations is rediculous. Giving them some holster, or gun twirling animation won't increase thier power any. The only thing you should be batting an eye to is duel wield, because if it is implemented wrong (i.e. too powerful with no trade offs) then that would be something that would/could directly effect your game play.

ROFL Mercurion. You're in luck though, the 'fixed' berserk1 to be less useful. Future encounters with your trashcan will result in faster incaps, thus saving down time.

I'm not enviousof pistoleers. I wouldn't want to be one personally; Iprefer using my bare hands to defeat my enemies. I just envy their carefree existence, as one might envy a child who gets to play all day without a worry in the world. If they had to think so long and hard to come up with 5 issues that all they could find was "we lack a pistol twirly animation", I'm happy for them. I hope one day the TKA's will be begging for a "TKA Secret Handshake" animation for when two TKA's greet eachother.

My pistoleer envy is similar to this:

I am getting three wayed int he prison shower envying the other inamte who is safe in his cell.

That is my envy. I am the one getting tore up here, while the devs tell the pistoleers they are working on adding that animation! But your right... Maybe if I ask nicely they will use vasalene!

Pistoleers have a set of real issues we want looked at. Lots of broken specials, defense skills not working, etc.

It just happens that the devs read back the very first report to us, written at a time when we didn't know of most of the issues because we hadn't had time to run the tests, do the parses, etc.
