Thread: I've lost my mind..

I didn't realise this was that big of a problem until today when I went to do my first Rebel mission since I made TKM. I threw my crazy little rockbeetle at them and distracted while I tried to take out as many as possible. I took out the easy ones until finally my mind is getting raped. I look over my head and see -66, -66, -66, -66, -66, -66, -66 (unarmedhit3) In about 14 seconds I could incap myself just from using unarmed hit 3. My focus is maxed and it did nothing at all to the HAM cost that made any noticable difference.

What am I going to do? And don't say spices because they suck.

Try not spamming UH3 so much. Use your state effect/debuff attacks, and you won't have to rely on constantly mashing your Spitting Rawl hotkey. Also I'm sure you know, but take off your VK's before you do your debuff attacks. The result is the same with or without them equipped, if I'm not mistaken. And use Intimidate in conjunction with Stun, and you should be fine (and if you have Intimidate2 all the better!).

However, if the NPC has a rifle, then obviously the fastest way to dispatch them is to throw a few Spitting Rawls or Gorax Smashes their way with VK's equipped, hehe.

Using Tatooine Sunburn will worsen the situation since it actually depletes the mind stats slightly and only buffs the health and action stats.

I'm not a master yet so I don't know the HAM cost of UH3, but I've found most things can be dispatched with minimal mind loss by intimidate, stun and blind. If you can get all three to stick andkeep them debuffed it makes it alot easier. I only use UH2 after a KD or if their HAM is very low and I want to finish them off quickly. I don't know what you're fighting but I can go through an entire lair of mamians on Yavin4 without waiting for my mind to regen, if done properly. Mamians are pretty easy kills however.

Your mind is your downfall friend. Guard it well.I've fully migrated my pool to max and all substats to max...it'll save your life. With all of the buffs from docs out there (Don't pay over 3k for full buff, or it's gouging), it's silly not to get buff for hours at a time and make oodles of cash and faction in the process...one mission'll more than pay for a buff and you can run a dozen in the time before the buff fades. Also, sunburns'll help too...I try to stay away from spice. We mustn't let our vices control us.

At master, you shouldn't need to spam UH3 all the time. Just KD them, and hit it once...the extra damage from being KD'd go miles. It usually kills the weaker-middles right out after the initial damage from the KD. Use your natural hard hits with your VKs or without. You hit HARD now man...I average 500-600 per regular hit against most tougher things/npc's. That's against light armor...no armor will get you more damage.

Perhaps wear armor just during fights, maybe even just a helmet to protect your mind.

Good Luck

Furthermore, UH3 is not what I'd call HAM effective.

The HAM cost for the UH skills more or less doubles at each level. The damage however, increases in a single increment of your base damage. If your base damage is X your UH damage will be as follows. I've also inserted my HAM cost for the 3 moves in (*). This is with VK's equiped.

UH1 = 2x (46)
UH2 = 3x (95)
UH3 = 4x (215)

So the damage is linear while the HAM costs are exponential. You can get about 75% of the damage for 1/2 the HAM cost by using UH2

Personally, I don't know what UH3 is really for. Mind hit has a multiplier of 2.5, and a ham cost of about 75% of UH3. Assuming that pool-specific damage is at least twice as effective as random-pool damage, mind hit gives you a superior damage to HAM ratio, and has the added benefit of being unhealable in PvP.

My recommendation to the devs would be to make UH3 about 138 HAM in the scenario above. Making the HAM costs linear would make the skill more useful.

all master docs I know charge between 4.5k ad 6k for a full pack of buffs. Not all buff's are created equal my freind. I am a master and all mine are adv parts and a total pain to make. I will not lower my prices and most people tip me an additional thousand or two.

I am with you Starphire....I spend the time and resources using adv components to make the best possible enhancement packs. I charge 1k per stat and I have never gotten a complaint (infact...like you I often get addition money as a tip for my services). A 3k buff is a rare and unlikely price, but hey...if you want to pay for a 3k buff...go ahead...either the Doctor is just maknig standard packs. ...or is just crazy and charging way to low. Prices for services also seems to be dependant on servers, but over all I have never seen a doctor (including myself) charge less then 1k per stat buff (which normally is something like 1500+ per stat for 2+ hours...I think 1k per stat is more then reasonable).

Evetsleep, Starphire,

That's why I clean up money-wise...I only have to charge 3k to make an alright profit. All D's I'm master doc with +20 wound treatment clothes and typically buff between 1.5-2.5k. You obviously get the occasional 900's but you also get the occasional 2.8 or 2.9.

Ziran Nariz from Radiant makes my packs, I buy for quarter of a million per crate and I make 2-3 times that back charging whatwe do (including using them on ourselves)...I and my bro Kenyo Zheng uncut all other docs by 2k or so and make a killing.

Good luck to you and your resource finding, I leave that to the talented. I'm only talented at killing things and people and teaching others how to do the same.

Foods don't last long enough, and I should have to take foods if I want to make my performance BETTER than it should be, not to make my performance what it should be. I am sharing the same stats as my human tkm friend and he has a -33 ham cost, compared to my -66.
