Thread: How do you all single pull?

The most important part of single pulling is getting to know the aggro raduis of the creatures you want to pull. They vary. Greatly.

Once you know the aggro raduis the techniques listed above can be used to single pull most anything.

I will tell you this about BAFs: When you attempt to pull one the rest will not come if you are not in their aggro raduis, provided you do not DAMAGE the one you are trying to pull.

If there are only two aggros,at 45-50m range attack one of them but dont follow it just stay where you are his budy will come at your feet(attacking) wait till it comes closer then attack.

Within the Teras Kasi Order we call this 'Unarmed Pull' which is best done with either no weapon or vibro knucklers equipped. The pull can be done with as little as 1m between MOBs, yet pull only one MOB. They keys to understanding and using unarmed pull are:

1. Wether the MOBs are aggressive - that is they show as red on radar and will automatically attack you when you are within their aggro range.

2. The aggro range of the MOB.

3. Wether the MOBs assist , and here I'll presume you are asking about pulling a single MOB from a group of assisting MOBs.

4. That assisting MOBs only assist when you attack one of thier lairmates within their assist range.

Take Baz Nitch for example. Baz Nitch have an aggro range of 15m. If you approach cautiously, you can aggro one Baz Nitch without aggroing another standing even 1m away from the first. When the Baz aggros on you, lead theBaz away from its lairmatesuntil you are out of assist range. A good idea is to pick aspot 65m+ away from the nest to plant and attack. The other Baz will not assist unless you actually hit the aggroed Baz within their assist range.

You may want to start out walking a few steps at a time toward a MOB to determine its aggro range. Make note of the range at which the MOB aggros. Once aggro range is determined, you can run toward a MOB then turn within a few meters of aggro range and run back to your plant-and-attack spot (for example, run toward a Baz then turn at 17m). Because of latency, turning a few meters before you hit aggro range will almost always register as you entering aggro range, and the MOB will aggro on you a second or so after you've already turned and are running back. This increases the distance between you and the aggroed MOB significantly reducing the chance of actually hitting the MOB while running.

Using /peace is another way of making sure you don't hit the MOB within the assist range of others, but I don't like this method as much.

The title pretty much says it all. I have marksman skills as well, but I haven't really figured out the agro system yet or how to pull a single mob away from his mates.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

Practice and patience.

Seems like a cop out answer, but honestly, it's no fun if you don't learn how yourself.
Yes you'll possibly die a lot unless you have feign death like i do. But it's simply a case of learning and understanding the various mobs you fight.

There are two methods that I use:

1. Walk towards a single mob that is at least 6m away from the pack until you are in it's aggro range (range varies for each mob). Stand there till he notices you. When the combat music starts, run away for about 10m+ in order to prevent any adds.

2. If two mobs hanging out together and you want to pull one. Get to about 35-40m; enrage one (you are out of the enrage range but will go into combat mode regardless); run back 10m+; his buddy, NOT the one you enraged, should follow you.

These work for me, and they sound simple to execute, but I've spent much time in the med center perfecting pulling. Hopefully this info will reduce your time there!

there is 3 ways to single pull aggro mobs, ofcourse yellow mobs that are packs will be considered as red mobs for this discussion.

1) BAF aggro pull (bring a friend) simply target X mob and attack him from range, He will not come but any mobs close to him will, most times you can single pull doing this, sometiems you get more then one.

2) pet pull (CH pets) using spiting pets or none doesn't matter, simply sending a pet in to attack a mob, will not aggro a pack lair mobs, or other red mobs, Just tell your pets to follow you after they tag the beast once, and they pull it to you.

3) Aggro range pull. More difficult then the first two, but this can only be done to Red con aggros. simply walk close to a red aggro trying to avoid the rest tell it aggros you, then run a way for a distance to get out of BAF range.

these are the 3 ways you can single pull being a TKA as far as i know.
