Thread: Some preliminary post-patch numbers
I did a little testing on the new damage and HAM costs and it looks pretty good. I'm not going to post all my raw data because I'm no good at the /code tag and it'll look really bad.
I did 10 tirals of each move on the newby mobs around coronet. I recorded the damage and HAM cost of each move. The damage I report here is the damage reported in the chat box, not the floaty number which was higher as I was attacking AR0 mobs with AP1 VKs. The HAM numbers I'm reporting are the floaty numbers that appear above your head when you do a special. All move are done with VKs equiped, although I also recorded the HAM costs for KD1 and KD2 without VKs.
My Stats are as follows
Str 600
Con 700
Qui 400
Sta 400
Foc 300 (I should probably raise this)
Wil 500
My VKs are 27-131 59/48/32
I am a Trando TKA master.

Bah.... first one posted before I was done.

Here's the results of the testing reported in the following fashion:
Attack/ Average Damage/ Multiplier(Est. Actual)/ HAM
Note that "Multiplier" is a quick calculation of average style damage/regular damage. Est Actual is my guess on what the real multiplier is, rather than the strict average.
Regular attack 418 1(1) 0
Body Hit 664 1.58(1.5)144
leg Hit 847 2.0(2.0) 144
Mind Hit1070 2.55(2.5)168
Hit 1 820 2.0(2.0)46
Hit 2 1232 2.9(3.0) 95
Hit 3 1714 4.1(4.0) 216
Knockdown 1 837 2.0(2.0) 338 (104 with no VKs)
Knockdown 2 1055 2.5(2.5) 388 (120 with no VKs)
That's all the testing I did before I had to log. The no VK HAM cost is ok, but since you'll only be doing it once every 30 seconds, it hardly matters. The mind hit damage is good, if you can catch someone in PvP, you'll be able to do serious mind damage quickly.
Overall the damage bonuses seem quite nice.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the numbers. I was hoping for this.
Can you or anyone get the actual numbers from the skill sheet?
Mr. Heavy,
Wonderful analysis! Can you take a look at the damage and HAM costs for these attacks without VKs? Just curious to see whether it's worthwhile to go completely unarmed, especially if the HAM costs are substantially less.
Thanks,

Looks like we're going to be using hit2 then... Why the huge HAM cost on hit3?
I agree, what the heck is up with that? Guess I'm changing my hotkeys around tonight.

This is actually a common issue. Riflemen (which I also have a vested interest in) have determined that Headshot2 is more cost-effective to their HAM than Headshot3. Considerably more so. In fact, after factoring in the firing delay, it also yields a higher damage per second.
I wouldn't be surprised if many other "3" attacks are the same way.
