Ok guys I read these boards alot. Here is what i have to say about the status of TKA.

I was a Master TKA pretty early on. Took about 4-5 weeks. It was a blast. I could solo up to 4 red cons! I was very happy.

I was Uder Powerfull in PVE and loved it. Solo'd all the time. Well SOE ruined my fun. I went from soloing up to 4 red cons down to one yellow if I was lucky and had a healer with me. Knowing what was missing made the game realy suck for a while. I decided to get smuggler so I could use low-blow and hopefully kd my opponent in pvp and then move in for the kill. That works prety good. I still miss the old days.

The new patch is definately a step in the right direction. I am doing alot better then I did yesterday. The ham costs are still somewhat high but live-able for now and I do alot more damage.

I have to tell you guys but thereis a reason that we have 250 skill points. It is because no one classhas everything you need to be well rounded in combat. The minor pistol skills I have from being a Smuggler really compliment TK. My TKis way more powerfull then mySmuggler Pistol skills, butpistol skill alow me to be very strategic in PVP and PVE.

Thereis no room in this game for people wanting to PVP without a ranged skill. Period. That is howSOE made it. We live with it or leave the game. That I beleive is also the way Stars Warswould and should be.

Also notethat SOE has made thisgame with goup players in mind. Dont expect to solo aPicket lair. I know we could before but that was wrong. If we can level toTKM in a month and solo anything in the game we will quit it in three months. I completly agree with SOE on this. Picture a TKM in the star WarsUniverse going up to a 40 foor tall picket and all his buddies and thinking he could take them all..hehe that is insane.

I soloed a quenker a few minutes ago and kicked its ass very quick. White con to me.

Remember SOE said from the begining that there was no tank class in this game and that the melee classes would not be able to be the tanks.

Anyway I am alot happier with my TKM skills today then yesterday..they screwed my smuggler skills(.

FLAME ON AS I KNOW YOU WILL!

It is short-sighted players like you who wreck the game for the rest of us. Thanks for wasting our time.

Sorry but as a big time Star Wars Fan I find that it most combat is based on Ranged Weapons. This is a game based on Books and Movies. Sure there are some mellee clases in Star wars. They are not the primary ones. Short sited? No, A real Star Wars Fan. If you want to be a tank go play another game. Simple.

Nobody said anything about Tank. But are you suggesting that Jedi should wield blasters? No? Why not? Oh, they're special... ok, now that makes sense. So you are granting exemptions for some characters and not for others. Good start to your argument.

how do jedi's even come into this? they are the exception to the rule in star wars. you seem moronic. do you have anything good to add?

nice post polanderRm,

although...i dont see why u put "Thereis no room in this game for people wanting to PVP without a ranged skill. Period. That is howSOE made it. We live with it or leave the game. That I beleive is also the way Stars Warswould and should be." no where did SOE post or put in there manual that ranged WAS needed. there is no official saying that they did so. AND no where did they put that melee was only a support skill as how u are talking about. melee should be just as good as ranged. i mean yeah i understand "dont bring a knife to a gun fight" although this ISNT real life and i dont see how u can live from being shot with a blaster more than once =P ...maybe 2 times if ur luky

Greanted I am not some huge star wars die hard fanboi... or is that fangrl... anyways

It was always my impression that the main focus in Star Wars was A) Jedi (melee class fighters) B) Equality (anyone could potentially be a jedi, anyone could go on to dogreat....or terribly great things even if they no matter thier class or profession ie slaves becoming jedi) and C) Inner focus or whatever you want to call it... self introspection...bsaically discovering who you are and who you want to become...

I never got the impression the books/movies were built around who had the bgigest blaster and who could kill who by kiting
