Thread: Hunting grounds for a Novice TK

I've read numerous posts on places to hunt to get TKM, but for most of those places one needs KD1. I just reached TK ranks last night, so I do not have that skill yet; I tried Dantooine and I got owned pretty quick (trying to do Huurton Stalkers).

Is there a place any of you can recommend to get me past Intermediate skill set so I can get KD1 and many of the skills some of higher hunting grounds require?

FYI: I have some medic skills so I can make stim packs A & B, so I think I'm ok there. I also have a pet, but never used it before - some posts I read seem to indicate to use a pet to split mobs.

Either Tyrena on Corellia, Krabhu and Bagaresettes or go to Talus and hunt Kamurrahs..the regular kind

I started on Huurtons on Danntooine, using a pet to pull mobs away from lairs. have 2 macros, one for attack and one for follow. This ONLY works if your pet is melee, not ranged. Send your pet after the farthest creature, then immediately call it back. It should upset the closer creature and cause it to aggro on your pet. Then you can fight it alone, then send your pet after the other one and follow up.

The trick with fighting mobs that would normally kill you in just a few hits is armor and range. You can creep up on most mobs and get just within range to hit with VK's and they won't aggro on you, because your pet is closer.

Hmm...ok Dantooine only has outposts and haven't been able to find a hospital to heal wounds...so I guess all of you who suggest this option must travel somewhere else to heal wounds. Also, are you guys Imps...it seems that this planet is run by Imps and since I'm a rebel..hmm...

I'll give it one more try. I'll try the Mining outpost on Dantooine.

Thanks.
