Thread: New Master Teras Kasi and some advice for low level TKA's

Reached Master yesterday (wooo hooo!). I did the whole trip solo with no pets. I have to say it was a long and tough path, but was fun and worth the endless hours of pummling Dathomir and Dantooine creeps. I will share my style so that the young Teras Kasi Artists may learn from me:

This works for low level TKA's (and high as I was doing this all the way to masterhood)on both creatures and NPC's. Avoid AR2+ at all costs....and AR1 if possible. AR0 creeps are your prefered targets.

1. After a successful pull open with KD1 (leave the vibro knuckers off for now)

2. As soon as you see the status of the creature\NPC change to a KD position hit warcry1

2a. If waycry1 sticks equip vibro knuckers and spam UH2....should make short work of most AR0 creeps

3. If warcry1 fails (watch in the spatial screen\combat screen for a white message..that is failure..a yellow message is success) hit warcry1 again and watch for failure. If it sticks see 2a.

4. If the second warcry1 fails fire a macro that fires intimidate, stun, blind, warcry(somewhere in this macro the creep is going to get up). Having warcry last is important as it allows step 5 to proceed while not getting hit. Firing these debuffs is going to drain your HAM and most tough creeps will take advantage of this.

5. Hit /healdamage self to heal that HAM that you just burnt debuffing the creep. After the heal if any of the debuffs did not stick fire them until they do.

6. Once the creep is debuffed equip vibro knuckers and pound away renewing intimidate as needed and healing as needed. Once the creep gets to about half HAM start at #1 again.

This was my method...may not be the best...but worked pretty good for me all the way to masterhood and I rarely died and I was doing over 100k+ xp an hour solo....I am not decked out with uber armor and I am not in a guild (yet....that may change now that I am a master)...so I truely relied on myself and my skills (i.e. no one helped me in any way...which is how I wanted to do it with this character).

Also thanks for all those who post here...I learned quite a bit from you all in my journey to being a Master and I am sure I will continue to learn.

the only thing I did was once they fixed kd, is kd1 unarmed dizzy1 and then you don't even need to debuff, they go down and stay down 90% of the time then you can beat on them with out useing specials at all if you don't want. it should be noted that this only works on huminoid npc but they seem to give the best xp out for the lvl of difficulty they are for the most part. go to naboo and practice this on maulers for a bit till you get it down and then move on to more difficult npcs on lok. another trick that works, when you get higher is when you take on groups of npc huminoids, do kd1 dizzy1 on e then move on to the next till they are all down then take your time and kill them with relative safety, a couple might get up but then you can just focus on them because the others will stay down so you don't even have to worry about them. if you are going to try it my way I suggest getting good at it as soon as possable and do it as much as possable because this is such a killer combo I'm expecting it to get nerfed any day now. also this may be easier for those that are like me and did master brawler before trying for master tk because with master brawler and tk you have more bounuses to def and toughnes and higher resistances to blind and dizzy etc...... than you will have with just unarmed 4 and what ever tk skills you have

Let's stop pointing fingers and just fix the problem.

My only problem with hitting NPCs is faction. On one of my characters I decided to be a good guy and clean up the rifraf around Kaadara. Pretty soon my thug faction was -400, and they would come running at me from half way across the planet, ok I exaggerate. I didn't really mind having to kill them, they had gotten pretty easy by then. My problem was they still showed up as yellow on the radar, so you pretty much had no clue that they were there until they attacked. If 3 of them jumped me at once, and one stayed back firing from a distance, he could really be a nuisance.

It is a very obscure command that allows one to heal damage to his own HAM.

the command /healdamage self is only useful if you're also a medic with stimpacks.

Don't forget how useful a

/dump; /healdamage self

macro is, especially if you habitually spam specials in your combat queue. Manually clearing it if you need that healing now and not after the next two Stun/Blind is often too slow.

That may be the second most usefull command I've learned in this game, after the /way command.

(For those that don't know /way will make a waypoint called waypoint at the spot where your corpse is, usefull for getting bact to your buddies or whatever without having to ask for coords)

Hey... now I don't have to use my datapad command to make a waypoint anymore before I choose clone location... thanks for telling me about /way!

Ok, quick question...I just reached TK status last night..will this spot work for a TK with no KD yet?

I tried Dantooine and..1) I get owned quick and 2) the only place i can 'call' a pet is in the miner's outpost and no real hospital anywhere on that planet.

Any suggestions as to what planet and missions to run until I get KD?

Thanks.

I got to Teras Kasi Master by spamming UH2 with a vibro on. None of the healing business either. I don't have medic.

I just made TKM. As soon as I hit Novice TK I took myself and my pets (yeah yeah) to Dantooine and started on huurtons (regular), Pull one, kill it, heal the lost HAM from spamming UH1, attack the other, heal up, hit the lair, mask scent, move away, ... pull another... and on and on... I worked up to Huurton stalkers when I got UH2 (I didn't get Balance 1 til after power IV). After I got KD1, it was KD, spam UH2, done, they rarely got back up before they were dead. I decided to take a risk last night and took out some Mokk Warriors and Clan leaders without much damage to myself or pets.. Dizzy, then KD and they usually don't get back up. If they somehow manage to stand while dizzy, use lunge to move them to kneel, then when they try to stand again they fall over into the KD position. I rarely use more than UH2 and KD1 unless its the big stuff, then I throw in everything I have.

I do spamUH2 in full composite with VK's, thats what 600 Focus/800 Willpower, novice medic and powerboostare therefor
