Teras Kasi Archive

Thinking of starting up a Brawler to go TKA, but first, can someone fill me in on the viability of the different species with Teras Kasi? I know that the Trandoshan have an Unarmed bonus, but honestly I can't stand them and would never consider playing one. Ideally I'd like to play a Rodian as they're my favorite species, but if they have a considerable disadvantage in melee then I would go Zabrak instead. Can someone give me an idea on how the species(Rodian in particular) compare to eachother as far as effectiveness as a TKA goes?

This question has been spat out more times than I can even imagine in the past weeks but the jist of it is this..

Some people will tell you zabrak b/c they have equilbrium (on a 1 hour timer) and high base regen on mind, some will tell you human b/c of the stat migration freedom, and yet others will tell you trandoshan b/c they have innate bonuses to unarmed. Basically just play whatever makes you happy, b/c at max lvl and played smartly I think there all about equal.

You just answered your question. Don't let some silly racial bonuses sway you, play what you like. Your fantasy, your roleplaying experience is what's key to enjoyment, not numbers. Once you're higher up in Teras Kasi, you'll realize it means nothing.

Honestly the only way you would be at a disadvantage would be to be a wookie, thats it thats all.. SOE is slowly turning the game into everybody being the same no matter what they do. Very sad.

Why are wookiees at such a disadvantage to Teras Kasi? WHY? I don't understand that part...

I'm a wookiee, and I see nothing that really puts us at a disadvantage... if you say armour, I say you're wrong. Wearing armour is practically killing yourself at Teras Kasi; we are too fast and our skills cost too much to be wearing armour, so it doesn't really matter what species you go.....

If you can't wear armor you will have a harder time as a tka in pvp. I mastered tka without armor and it is not hard, but surviving in pvp is way harder.

I recently deleted my trandoshan tka/doc to make a human. I really hope the stat migration freedom isn't a bug, but working as intended. So if you want to take chances, make a human, if you want to play a kick ass race and don't care about the imp racists, play a zabrak.

If you want to be constantly out of mind and unable to wear some armor, play a trand.

If you want to be constantly incapped due to no mind at all, play a rodian

This is all MY opinions, you may agree or disagree all you want.

But if you disagree you are wrong.

Iplay a Twi-lek Teras Kasi, and I find no disadvantage to this race. I actually love it, because alot of people play twi-leks as dancers, so they don't expect a pretty lil' thing open a can of whoop *edit* plus, being the only female brawler in my guild (well, actually, ONLYbrawler in the guild hehe) I can rub it in that I can beat the men with my bare hands, hehe. So, if you truelly want to enjoy it, play what you want!
