Thread: A Few of Your Favorite Things
I'm fairly new to the world of Teras Kasi (0/0/0/1), but I'm having a great time.
I was just wondering what other artists enjoy hunting.
By that I don't necessarily mean the fastest, easiest xp for unarmed, although if that's what you enjoy that's cool too. Please don’t knock other people’s play style. I’d love all kinds of ideas on what my fellow practitioners consider fun.
My personal favorite planets to be on for atmosphere are [in order of preference]
-Yavin 4
-Rori
-Naboo/Corellia
I’m still fairly new to Yavin 4 so I haven’t had a chance to study its ecology in detail.
If anyone has any advice for hunting on Yavin using your bare hands (or a knuckler) that would be great.
I’m really looking for something that’s a bit more challenging than crazed durni (although those are fun)
I think my main problems are that I’m not too familiar with the techniques at my disposal yet, and I’m not very good at pulling singles out of social packs. Any help in those areas would be greatly appreciated as well.

I like Dathomir. The entry music is eerie and sets the dark mood of the planet. I think the Devs took the dark mood too literally, though,because the planet is entirely too dark most of the time. If you want to play "blind" Teras Kasi, then Dath is for you.

Play in borderless windowed mode. The gamma is naturally higher and the colors not so give-you-eye-strain-headaches deep. It's very good for dark places and my machine seems to run slightly smoother that way.

LOL I don’t know if playing blind would be as fun for me as it is for you but maybe I could crank up my brightness. I’ve actually never been to Dathomir or Endor. What do you like to hunt there?
If you do a control + "O" it opens your options window and in it there is a gamma correction. You can adjust darkness/brightness here.
I really like Gackle Bats on Yavin 4. I use my rock bettle for crowd control, add a little moun gold and you are good to go. I get incapped about once every 4 lairs. So they are a challenge. The best thing is that they do not death blow. BTW I am started doing these at novice TKA and have worked my way up to 1/1/1/1. They may not be the best thing to power level with but I have alot of fun killing them. As far as pulling singles go I don't, thats where the use the pet for crowd control comes in. I send my pet in first. He takes on 1-4 of the bats. Then one or two come to me. I take those out, then "pull" bats off my pet to kill.
Yes at novice TKA you can get Gackle Bat missions. They pay around 3.5k and you get around 10-12k xp for doing the mission. One note. At the level I am at now 1/1/1/1 I can still get the GB missions but they seem harder to complete and they pay more like 5-6k. But that is fine with me. Keeps the challenge level up.
