Thread: TKM and PvP (raids)
Just thought I would share my experience last night....for those who wonder how good TKM can be in a Raid situation.
Anchorhead was raided by 5-8 Imperials last night and for a good 2-3 hours it was non-stop PvP (they were grouped using group TEF). So the rebels in town (me included) grouped up and had at it. Even though one of the opposing PvP'ers was an individual that many dislike a great deal...I have to say that I had a blast. In that 2-3 hours I raked in over 2,000 FP in kills (at 30 FP a kill that ends up being something like 65-75 deathblows). I would not say that TKM is over powered...because I did get db'ed a number of times...but it was because I was caught meditating around the corner (darn flamethrower wounds....600 Health wounds at one point..ouch)...and a couple times where I got ganged up on. But as it has been said time and again....its all about tactics. Using LoS (line of sight) to dodge ranged attackers....lunge is your friend...and always look for PvP'ers who are focused on some one else....by the time they notice you....its over and your are moving on to the next kill :-).
Anyhow....just thought I would share....PvP can be a blast...and if you wear armor...be prepared to repair it often or lose it...iwore comp last night and a number of peices are in bad need of repair after last night...but the comp armor saved me countless times.
