Thread: TH did not mention TKA by coincidence; imminent nerf ahead?

"The thing thats going to really be my best chance at changing things here based on player input is going to be some really solid arguments on which professions play which role and the trick is going to be to get a lot of positive feedback. Its got to be reasonable, for instance, if TKA's are the damage dealers, then they are going to need a weakness and they can't be stealing all the thunder either. Every profession needs a strong role; pikeman, swordsman, fencers, etc." - Thunderheart
If TH mentioned TKAs,the change is on the table. In the context of the paragraph, we should expect a 'reasonable' nerf in light of what? It doesn't sound like they plan to increase our power, only to limit us in a particular way, so that we can play our role.
What is our role supposed to be? Typical damage dealers have a weaker defense. Tanks have a weaker attack. So we pick one and then we have to stick with it? I'd rather have both. Specials that deal strong damage and allow us to be vulnerable to attack for instance, or defensive specials that prevent us from attacking. I do not care for a standard role of a tank or attacker with a permanent downside.
The devs aren't going to back down from their revamp of the combat system, the only choice we have is to give them a path we want our profession to be on, and hope they take our wishes into consideration.

Well we have CoB that doesn't do that much.... I can care less if they just totaly take it away... let the fencers or what ever profession keep there awsome dodge and evade skills from CoB, i wont mind as long as our defence remains the same.
Another thing i can do with out it VK's, i mean c'mon were suppost to be unarmed so that would mean weilding no weapon what so ever......If this were the case though it would be nice to be compensated for this loss of power and speed somehow as Greeblesnort had pointed out in another thread.
