Im about to start unarmed brawler, now i know that you need NTK to be certified, but i read somewhere to get some sliced for speed anyway so that you hit more often, even tho your damage wont be great. Or should i just go unarmed?

get a speed sliced vk with that is faster than 2.2 speed.

You will attack nearly 3 times faster using vk's and even though you do less damage the amount of speed you will gain compensates for that. one thing to note is that using a vk will increase the ham cost of specials so be careful.

you can get sliced vks to 1.4 spd. Makes a huge difference

you will do about 5-20 less damage if i remember rightly, but the speed bonus means that your damage over 10 seconds will be about 200 more(i've been up for about 18 hours my maths might be a bit off.......)

But using a 2.2 speed VK when you are not cert'ed is worse than going totally unarmed?

A 2.2 speed VK is still about 50% better overall than completely unarmed, in my estimation.
