Thread: Are VK really not worth it at Master?

Everything I hear lately is how VK's aren't very effective (relatively speaking) at TKM. Is you damage output that high? Or is it stictly the speed that makes the difference? Or do you still need them? Just curious.

VKs are fine, except for the HAM costs. If you're just going to hit auto attack, then use them, preferably a pair that's sliced for max damage.

If you're going to use lots of specials, then it's worth trying to fight without them. If you can get off knockdown 2, warcry, and spam a bunch of unarmed hit 3 without losing a ton of HAM, you'll do a lot more damage than someone with vibro knuckles, and take a lot less.

I agree except i have seen an increased probability of getting a decent bleed on my target if I am wearing VK's as oppossed to not wearing them.

I didn't think TKA had a bleed.....

And thanks for the insight guys, that makes sense as far as the ham usage.

We don't have a bleed, he was referring to it randomly happening. VKs at master destroy yourmind and action, so it makes healing quite difficultif you use Dizzy KD and then hit Unarmedhit 3 a lot. So if you plan on using them with specials, get all your stats buffed. And even then you might want some muon on top of your mind buffs. You will hit for about 500-1000 more damage in PvE with them, but then you have to decide if you're willing to risk the HAM costs for a higher damage output.

No you are correct. We don't have a "bleed" however it can and does happen randomly. I am simply stating the observation that I have seen a greater occurance of this if I am wearing VK's.

I have found that I do 25% more damage, but have ~300% HAMs cost...and they seem a bit faster. I only use VK with mind-saving power ups...and I use them rarely.

We do get a bleed, but from what I understand (haven't looked) it is only a 1 point bleed per cycle. I think it is one of the random states from unarmed hit3, but not sure.I know that bleeding seems to be a very insignificant part of 'what we do' because you can kill it most of the time before bleeding becomes a factor.

Good to know about the bleed thing.
