Thread: Reluctant Resignation

First of all, I should apologize for my lack of availability over the last couple of weeks. Some unforeseen personal and professional developments made it impossible for me to be online for any significant amount of time recently.

I was hoping that my situation would change and that I would be able to continue in this position, but I'm just not going to be able to devote the amount of time to the correspondent post that I want to, and it would be a disservice to this community for me to continue without a 100% commitment.

I've really enjoyed being the TKA corresponded. I love this profession, and I honestly think that the community we have here is among the best in the game, if not the absolute tops. I'll still be around. I'm not going to quit playing all together, but I will have to seriously scale back for a few months.

We have a lot of really exciting things in store for us, and I'm looking forward to being around for them in whatever capacity I can manage. I'm going to do what I can to be available until TH can select another correspondent. To whomever comes next, I congratulate you. The correspondent community alone is reason enough to serve in the program. You'll have access to some of the best minds in the game, and some great discussions. My only advice is patience. Recognize that you're there to help make progressive changes, but the timeline for changes in this game is months, not days or weeks. Once you accept that, you can start to enjoy the position.

To the members of this community, I salute you. It's been an honor to serve as your correspondent, and I look forward to remaining a part of this community.

I'm new to the TKA community, but your work has helped me and many others enjoy this profession.

Thanks

Your contributions, insight, and pushes for our thoughts opinions and suggestions to be seen and heard were tremendous. I have always enjoyed reading your informative posts and your own POV of how things are and where they are going. Take care and be well. I am glad you are going to be able to focus more on Real Life things, as games have a way of helping us neglect things that should not be neglected. We'll see you around I'm sure.

Once again, thanks for your professionalism and wonderful attitude. You're leaving very large shoes to fill.... I only hope your replacement can pick up where you are leaving.

Although I have considered myself worthy of being part of the TKA 'brotherhood' for only a very short time, I have read much of your comments and suggestions - you will be missed.

The Teras Kasi profession is woe to lose you Mister_Heavy.

Unlike some Correspondents, you were able to keep balance between those who enjoy the profession for what it is, and those who want Godliness.

Sorry to see you have to give up the correspondent position. It was actually looking like you were starting to get some of the outstanding issues resolved.

And I have to agree with some here, you did an excellent job, balancing the requests for changes, not just looking at what we want, but how others would see us due to the change, and helping to keep the changes reasonable.

Good luck and hope you get everything sorted out in RL.
