Sorry if this was posted earlier, or in a sticky, but I couldn't find this information.

- Is the Teras Kasi Innate Armor (TIA) only on when using unarmed. If I equip a sword, doesTIA automatically go off, or does it stay?

- Is it only kineticdefense, or both kinetic/energy defense?

- If I have 2 cybernetic arms,is the TIAeffectiveness reduced?

- Does a Beltor a PSG affect TIA effectiveness?

Thanks

/Mac

/sigh it does get a bit annoying but since i havent seen a tia post for a while ill answer it TIA works with a sword from what i have gathered also tia is equivelent to 6k battle armor all around. PSGs do not affect it and i dont htink belts do not sure about mabari ones. the arms from what i can tell do nothing to the TIA but i dont know post publish 18

- Is it only kineticdefense, or both kinetic/energy defense? TKM = 6000 armor for all stats

- If I have 2 cybernetic arms,is the TIAeffectiveness reduced? This can make TIA buggy AFAIK

- Does a Beltor a PSG affect TIA effectiveness? PSG No, Belt can make TIA buggy AFAIK

Thanks

/Mac

Note that where I said TIA can be buggy there is no way to predict. There are a couple posts on the first page of the forum discussing this.

It works just fine when I use my pistol. You just can notturn on COB when you have a pistol in hand.

I second that. It even works with a lightsaber. As BladePride said, you must be using a melee weapon/unarmed (excluding lightsabers) to activate cob

TIA is always on as long as you have no armor on including clothing that the game recognizes as armor, to include some helmets, belts, shirts, etc. Weapon does not matter, but it does not stack with jedi innate armor AFAIK.

During my /respec period I kept TKM and tried numerous combinations of melee / ranged templates and my TIA always worked the same as if unarmed regardless of weapon. Note that often as a TKM if you equip a weapon which you do not have good defenses for, or no defenses for, your damage taken is going to be higher due to the fact that unarmed you get +75 unarmed defense. Equiping, say a pistol, may not net you enough pistol defense to make up for it and you will take slightly harder hits. This does not mean that TIA stopped working, it just means that with a pistol you don't have as good a defense.

To active CoB you need to have no ranged or saber equiped.

I use CoB with Master Bounty Hunter in your CoB macro you only have to add 1 line to unequip the weapon you're using and 1 to reequip it afterwards, to be sure that no other action (like an attack or so) corrupts the macro put en clear combat queue before switching weapons

ehh, lol, is this a joke?

yes,TIA works for wookies. note: you dont have to equip anything. on the contrary, if you have any armor (excluding psgs) equipped it will cancel out TIA.

If I equip something like and RIS Armor Helmet, and no other armor, what happens to TIA? Does it partially lower or does not work at all?

sucks that after 2 years this game still lacks any decent non-armor headgear/masks.

Theoretically, only hits that hit your head would be effected. That is the intent of the armor system and of the devs. In practice this is not always the case and wearing an armor part in one of the "hittable" locations (head, arms, chest, legs) can result in all of your TIA getting borked and not working correctly. Basically you have to go fight something and see if TIA is working and unfortunately if it works one time does not guarantee it will work the next time.
