Thread: CM or doc w TKM? and a couple of Q's

Hey fellas.
Im thinking about this myself, I've tried CM 4xxx before together with master rifle... But since every single soul on the server is rifle except jedi I thought Id change the template and be more of a tanker in pvp and cut those rifle fellas down in close combat...
So im thinking about either adding CM 4xxx or Doc 4xxx together with TKM and 3 trees of swords (for adv armour break, imp head hit and def).

I know CM is good for ranged heals and so on, but ive never tried doc though... Does doc heal more but just the lack of ranged healing?


While I have this topic up I might as well ask:

Does broken clothes/disabled ones break the innate armour?
Does an ubese shirt have any impact on the innate armour?

I believe that if you're not going with a ranged profession that Doc 4-0-0-0 would cost less skill points than CM 4-0-0-0. I think it's like 3-4 skill points less or something, but each one counts. I'd personally go for Doc, however I'm teh nub

Cool! I think ill go with doc then and get another skillbox from swords in addition to it

Skill point usage-


CM 4-0-0-0 = 78 skill points


Doc 4-0-0-0 = 63 skill points


The reason behind it is you need Marksman 0-0-0-4 for the CM, so it'd be good if you were going ranged, I'd say stick to Doc for melee though.

Do Docs have any ranged skills? That's the main reason i like CM is because i can do some nasty DOTs to everyone that doesn't want to get within my melee range. I haven't tried Doc out yet, but i think CM/TK is an awesome combination from my experience so far in the last few days.

Right now I'm tkm/mcm, and highly suggest this template. But if your just going to go for 4000 from either doc, or combat medic, I would suggest doc. With doc you getbact shot and bacta jab which can be used a lot faster than the heals from CM. You also get bacta infusion which gives heals over time which is also very useful. CM is much better as group support healing, because of ranged healing (bacta toss), and area heals (bacta spray). If you were going to master one of the healing professions, I'd suggest CM simply because the debuffs and DoTs can be extremely useful.

Plus CM can crowd control with paralyze which is very usefull to a tank and it gives themselves a bit of time to replenish their health and let their action pool regen in a one on one situation. Plus the movement speed debuff to catch those kiter's. Very nice skills.
