Thread: new results on TKA defenses
I started a new char on another server to have a baseline to test against.
hit a flesh-eating chuba. went to /peace. watched the log.
a few misses. mostly hits. ZERO dodge/counter/block.
logged my 2.2.1.2 TKA (plus master marksman). I have no dodge/counter/block skills.
hit a chuba, etc.
fair number of misses. ZERO dodge/counter/block. CoB seemed to do nothing to increase the melee defense, and again, ZERO defensive moves.
tried /tumbletostanding. more misses. zero defensive moves.
went prone. used /takecover. LOTS of misses. zero defensive moves.
so our best defense is currently a rifle skill, and involves laying on the ground and Being One With The Planet.
I tried to pull combat logs... could only capture 2k files each time, with strange results in the logs... sorry.

please post any data you have to support or refute my findings... the more we test it, the better we'll understand it.

I think its safe to say that neither defensive acuity or CoB works at all, or works to what they should be doing.
hopfully the devs will notice this and fix it, but post after post i am seeing the same thing, as well as im seeing the same thing when i play my TKM.

this does not support the any evidence that we recieved 65 more unarmed damgae to our mods. The fact is we do less damage now then before, so i suspect that either 2 things are happening.
1) the combat window is buged
2) the new mods somehow made ou damage worse
3) or they nerfed the modifiers on UH3 and UH2, to something like 3, and 2 respectivly

Althoug this is a small set of sample data, it certainly doesn't look like Center of Being does much, if anything. Kudos to SOE for another useless skill.
CoB seems to be a huge hit with the other melee classes. It's only TKA who got the broken Defense Acuity. I'm really happy that the other melee classes are getting much needed attention. It's annoying to read all the "I beat 13 tkms in a row with a 1101 fencer/swordsman/pikeman! Woot!!" threads though.
If they get this to work maybe they should add CoB 2 to Master Brawler. Have it last twice as long. It might make the class worth the points.

I think the problem is more in line with not having any specific bonuses for the program to select for our action.

This sounds like a good possibility. This is just the kind of thing the retarded developers would miss when trying to code a new feature. I guess they don't understand that 100 x 0 = 0.
I asked this in a different thread, why do we get COBanyway? Read the description of COB in the game, and it says it only works when a melee weapon is equipped.
