well as i have moved up in the TK tree i am now 3-4-4-3 i have noticed that it is almost a requirement that i boost myself before i do any real combat...

now my question to you guys is.. what is the "ideal" stat setting for a TKM so i know if i need to migrate my stats or anything and 2ndly... i figure muon gold is about the best thing to combat that annoying lack of mind problem...

i also have another question.. is it possible to do this... get a doctor to buff your stats.. and then have an entertainer buff ur mind.. and THEN powerboost and use muon gold? if that would work then i will start having myself a wonderful time...

Just my $.02 here. What kind of Knucks are you using? I had my favorite Smith make some ultra low HAM knucks, the damage is only around 130, but it helps a ton with specials and the speed is like 1.9, of course I'm maxxed at TKM, but I like to think that it helps on specials. Also what special are you using? UH2 is sorta the consensus 'best value for cost' special. UH3 is for PvP and the other specials are really only for pool specific attacks. If your spamming UACombo2, try switching to UH2.

Unfortunately you can't stack the powerboost on top of Muon and the entertainer boosts. Although if I can find a dancer I'm at 2200 Mind unboosted or 3250 boosted and with Muon, which works pretty good. Personally, I don't ever use armor anymore because of the hit to the mind stubstats, maybe I'm crazy but some +warcry clothes seem to work way better.

First of all try fighting without the vks for a while. If you still have trouble with ham costs try getting doctor buffed and using muon gold as needed.

I have macros for certain moves. For example...

/ui action toolbarSlot20;

(un-equips VK)

/unarmedKnockdown2;

/pause 1;

(need the pause to re-equip the VK, does not seem to work without it)

/ui action toolbarSlot20;

(re-equips the VK)

Works fast and works well for me.

Oh, I generally keep my combat que clear, some I haven't fully tested how this macro would work in the que...

My assumption in the un-equip fuction may not be limited to the combat sequence and throw things off. In that case, macro a sequence of moves and it may work better...

I'll try to test this out.

You guys are way smarter than I am. I've just got my hotkey row set up. So it might be F3 to unequip knucks, F9 KD, F10 Warcry, F3 re-equip k

This will only work correctly if the combat que is clear, the unequip/requip goes through immediately and the kd is added to the list.

Definitely mix and match special attacks/VKs/standard attacks while fighting. I always powerboost before combat, sometimes take Tatooine Sunburn/Corellian Fried Ice cream to reduce my special move costs, and keep Muon Gold available if I start to lose too much mind. I un-equip my VKs whenever I'm not fighting a creature/NPC without armor. The special move costs are substantially higher with VKs equipped, even if you get a good set with low encumberance.Every time I do a special, I un-equip my VKs first. When fighting a creature/NPC with armor I use knockdown/warcry/dizzy (dizzy if it's a bi-ped)without VKs equiped, equip VKs when target goes down and wail on it with unarmed hit until it stands back up. The AR1 piercing from the VKs plus the damage increase while target is prone allows you to knock it's HAM down really quick. I use intimidate/blind/stun to reduce the damage I'm taking from the target. If I start running low on HAM, I equip my VKs and do just standard attacks while usingStimBs to heal. Don't forget to use the unarmed spin attack when you get muti-aggroed.

Everyone is going to have different tactics, but this is what I've found works best for me.

Eat two rysktakes and drink one breath of heaven before long battles. Your focus will be nearing 1500. This will keep the mind cost on specialsvery low. Also try getting powerups that reduce mind cost on specials be 16%. These are rather helpful.
