Okay, time for all that great advice and experience you TKA-ers have. Which armour is the best when you are a TKA ? I have Composite right now but I've also heard that Ubese is pretty dang good. Also, I'm a Trandoshan so gloves and boots are off limits to me.

Zab TKM here. Ubese, 68%+ kinetic resist. The HAM on composite is way to high. Even in ubese without doc buffs I just kinda stand around and wait for things to drop dead, funny thing is if I don't special I win 99% of the time, if I do special that drops to 50% at best.
Depends on what you fight though. I do pure PvE with no NPC's if I can help it. When NPC's start blasting and kiting I'm toast, composite would be nice for that.

Im a Rodian and use a full suit of Chitin 50%+ kenetic resistance. I have a simmilar tactic of not using special attacksbecause of the armor Incumberance. I too just sit there and use the default attack. I only use specials if Im not wearing any armor. Ubese Might be better than Chitin if you can get a good set. I buy Chitin because it is cheap and gets the job done.

In PvE I don't usually wear armor. If I do wear armor I have a helmet, chestplate, and boots. All these are 70% kinetic, acid, electric, and energy resitant, with 65% on everything else (except stun, no minerals for stun lairs until very recently on my server)
All of this is sliced for encumberance. I also wear some +15 to bleed restant pants and a +10 (maybe 7 don't remember) to stun resistant shirt.
However, after watching some other TK's, and doing some studying of combat spam, I think I may try dropping the chestplate for gloves instead. So I'm only wear the helmet, gloves and boots. I need to see a few more combat spam examples before I'm convinced that this is the better way to go.

God, I'd kill for a edit button - that should read stun LAYERS, for the composite. Not lairs
