What is the difference between the two attacks? Does KD 2 knock them down for longer?

KD 2 has a chance to dizzy the target as well in the single hit. It also has a higher HAM cost, and at times it appears to have a higher chance to knockdown in general.

knocks down for longer, has a chance of dizzying, does more damage, has a cooler name ( charging wompa > *), and the animation is cooler

Make sure you keep dizzy in your macro bar as kd2 doesn't always apply the dizzy state.

I usually do this..
KD1
If KD fails, goto KD2
If KD succeeds, goto Dizzy
If Dizzy fails, wait till he stands back up, and KD2
If KD2 fails, wait thirty seconds, repeat process, or run.

What are the chances of getting a second knockdown on the same target then? I only ever manage the 1. Does using knockdown 2 then trying knockdown 1 increase your chances of getting a second knockdown? Assuming the Dizzy hasn't got them stuck in the endless loop of falling over.

from my experience, after the patch when they took dizzy away from affecting creature mobs, they're both the same- about 3-5 secs. against pc mobs kd 2 is better b/c it does keep them down longer if dizzy sticks.
i just use kd1 and warcry. this keeps them down for 10 sec.

if you have KD2 dont waste your time using KD1. there is a 30 second KD timer. this only applies to a successfull knockdown. you cant knock something down with KD2 then use KD1 when it gets up. they dont stack or anything like that. on creatures use KD2 then warcry and freeze it to the ground for 10 seconds. with 2 legged NPC's use KD2, then apply a dizzy if KD2 didnt. they will flop around on the ground like a fish. if you are surrounded by 2 legged NPC's use KD2 on them all and then start laughing.
