Thread: Armor and the TKA

Other than the obvious answer (composite) what type of armor do you all wear and what adjustments based on your race did you have to make to wear it and live. I am asking because I have finally hit the TK Novice, and eventhough I am kicking the stuffing outta things, I am taking some pretty good sized damage. Being a Rodian I have found that my brawler stats leave little mind power to use......trying to find an even balance if anyone can help...thanks....

Ubese is a good choice also, if you are only looking for major protection against kinetic damage.


I never worried about shifting stats around much, except to get a good balance into mind if possible, but I'm not rodian so I think I'll let someone a little more knowledgeable answer that question

I always go for composit helm and chest and biceps and everything else ubease. i like the helmet to be encumbrance sliced, so it is as light as a non sliced ubease which is nice on the mind. the rest being ubease is because you just dont get hit enough there to justify the encumbrance. it is important to have something there thus the ubease but in PvE you almost never get hit besides kenetic or energy (there are some big exceptions)


That is just what i like because it is a balance between the two. and if you get black Ubease and Red composit it looks awesome

When truly out for a fight (PVE, don't do PVP at all) I wear my full set of Composite while being buffed, I take brandy and canape for mind stats to be buffed,I really have a crappy focus, I need a focus buff + my brandy and canape to keep my mind totally going without problems... but if you prepare good you are strong.

I'm a trandoshan master tka, I fight without armor most of the time due to my low action stats. I prefer ubese over composite because of the encumberance, but i have one composite just in case I only wear composite when I'm buffed.


If I'm doing missions, I fight without armor and VK, I just eat food/drink and I'll be good to go.

I too am Trandoshan TKM. I wear only composite helm and chest. Both are sliced to VERY low encumbrance, and I can wear the armor and fight ok without any buffs at all. If I were to wear legs, my crappy action stats would cripple me.
