hey this is a noobish question so dont flame me, i asked around bout why speed slcies lower the speed form a normal 2.1-2.3 to 1.4-1.6, y's it betetr to have lower spd on ur vk??

its not...people mostly use speed slices while grinding through novice/brawler tree since it helps ur attack speed. But once you hit novice and get closer to master you will be at ur speed cap with a default speed weapon and would be better off getting a damage sliced vk.

Wookie, I think you may have misunderstood the question just a bit. You are right that as you level, speed of the weapon is not as important but to the original poster's question (if I understand it correctly)...

A: That is an improvement. The speed of your weapon is used along with your speed skill modifier (unarmed speed) and your special delay speed to calculate how long it takes you to attack again after you have used your special attack. The lower the speed, the lower the number used in that delay * weapon speed calculation. That equals a faster attack rate.

Your weapon speed does not indicate the number of times youattack in a given period of time but instead is a delay between attacks. A 1.0 speed weapon is 3 times faster than a 3.0 speed weapon.

After reading over this it still sounds convoluted. Think of the speed of the weapon as how long a time you have to wait to attack again. The smaller the delay, the faster you are. High speed number = long delay. Low speed number = short delay.

The game has a built in "cap" so that everyone will have at least a one second delay no matter how fast your weapon. So to Wookie's point, when you have leveled high enough, it almost won't matter how fast your VKs are because you still attack at once per second.
