im gonna do master Tk and master fencer...would it kill me to have no ranged mitigation or ranged skills at all?

A few hits in the head frmo a rifleman will make you very dead.

well the rifleman nerf is coming very soon...so im not worried about that

Then you're the only one who knows about it. NOTHING has been said about a rifleman nerf by anyone in any position to be aware of such a thing.

No it wouldnt as im Master bralwer TKM Master fencer and going up sword and i have no range at all and am quite deadly in pvp and in PVE i can hold my own very easy

The defence tkm and fencer gives you makes you quite hard in combat aand my ranged defence is now +90 i think cant remember

One npc did 500 health dmg on me and i only have 800, so i would say yes.

I think he was assuming there was going to be a rifleman nerf. Ranged professionsseem to getraped when nerfs come around.

Anyway, I would say that you shouldn't be hurt too bad by your lack of mitigation. Perhaps a rifleman/combat medic would make mincemeat out of you but for the most part, your other defenses and especially your state defenses should be sufficient.

Sufficient when taking melee damage.

Ranged mitigation can mean the difference between a 5k advanced strafe from an npc, or a 500 dmg advanced strafe from an npc. It can be a rather dramatic difference.

I actually think ranged mitigation isn't all that usefull in PVP. with the 75% dmg reduction in place the "range" were working with rather sux anyhow. Relativety and all.

im pretty sure there is no rifleman nerf in the works anytime soon, so id have to say that im 99% sure you're wrong on that one

It isn't only rifleman you need worry about.... NPC's using specials of ANY kind can be far worse than what players can do.
