Thread: Where should I grind TK Novice?

The most annoying novice profession to grind.. TK novice.. And I have to do it. Where should I grind it? I've heard of all sorts of crazy stuff like run around Mos Entha and kill all the newbie monsters or take on mobs with 5k HAM and only getting like 1.5k exp from them. All that is crap and slow and I want to know the real and fast way to do it. I have a 70% Ubese armor to help me.

Well I am new to the profession as well. I'll say first off I don't believe there is an "easyor fastway" to build up your character. Try reading the TKA FAQ guide... you will find some tips there. You could try and do the macro thing but even that is long and tedious and is not fullproof. I have asked myself several times why I continue to invest more time into this profession.... Maybe there is something out there that I am not aware of that you can do to get xp quicker. But for someone who has just started trying to achieve TKA novice, im not sure what else you can do but grind it out.

Well I got Novice Fencer in about 2-3 hours and I've been grinding TK novice for like 4 days now so I do think that there is some faster way for TK novice. I also think that TK novice should need less exp than the other profs.

I've seen TKN done from UA 4 in 90 minutes, I was following a friend while I was still CM to heal her if needed. It wasn't.


Simply put - buffs, armour, Sentry Hermit Spider lairs. At 625 or so a pop while grouped they're not worth much individually, but they die fast and each lair will pump out enough spiders that you'll get 25k per lair. Hunt on the grass plains of Naboo or try the mountains south of Lake Retreat for Nightspider Poison Spitter lairs. You'll occasionally find mixed lairs that aren't worth quite so much, but when you find a pure Sentry Hermit or Poison Spitter lair it's pure gold.

Those of you who think novice TKA is the worst grind have obviously never had to grind Bounty Hunter Investigation.

Get buffs, armors, a VK and hit quenkers on Dantooine.


It took me 2 hours to get from UA4 to TKN.



On a side note; if you plan on being a buff junkie max out mind and get willpower high too

Go to the Krayt Graveyard, while buffed with good K armor. Find dragonet lairs and use Berserk on them. It may take you a while, but at 5k exp per kill, it is worth it. This is how I did TKM from Unarmed4 in 4 days, ON a limited playing time constraint.

get a set of low speed vks like 1.5-1.7 and go to tat with buffs and kill dew backs giant mountain worrts and like the post before said dragonets .

I did it on Dantooine (quenkers) and Endor (swirl prongs). And you're absolutely right. Novice TKM was absolutely the worst grind of any of the 16 professions I've mastered.
