Im 0,2,4,2 in tk, and one of my friends is 0,1,0,1 in rifleman but can beat me in a duel

Both times we have dueled we have been buffed. I havent gotten him to accept to a duel w/o buffs though

Whenever i get inc, it is always my mind that causes me to inc.

Anyway, Is it possible for a tk to beat a rifleman with buffs?

I was master rifleman for a number of months. I could pwn everyone except Jedi and TKM basically.

The best way to beat a rifleman is knockdown 2/dizzy. I hated that. I knew it was game over at that point in time.

So now that I am a TKM I practiced dueling a few rifleman. All you need to do it get 15m from them and lunge. Once they are on their knee, just kd/dizzy and have at them. from that moment on they're your **edit**. If you have to, use BurstRun and out maneuver them so you get 15m in. If the rifleman is skilled, he will always remain 16m or further. Staying 16m from a TKM is easy in a duel. Though you will still get caught on a slip up if you're not careful. But in a big battle staying 16m from a TKM is quite difficult. lol

So just use KD/Dizzy and you'll be able to kick butt! have fun

Against a pure buffed and armored rifle user one on one with a pure tka? Well, maybe if you catch them, have buffs and composite armor of your own, and a stun helmet. But:

- if they stay at kiting range you stand no chance

- if they have a melee profession to fall back on(like tka) you stand no chance

- if they have cm as well, you'll be dead before you reach them

- if they have doctor so they can heal states, you'll probably lose

- and, if you even do manage to catch them and they are a pure rifle user, its only a 50/50 chance if they are wearing high kinetic resist armor and are buffed.

I am a master rifleman/tkm and what I would do is give them alot of states, blind- they wont hit you much, intimidated-you half the dammage they do, kd/dizzy/posture change they will be dead... on a pure rifleman without much defences he will die quite quick... but if the rifleman got a good rifle and a good distance your chances of surviving will not be very high!

Nothing really, I was atthe Bazaar on tatooine, and this Buffed Trandoshen TKM was going around to all the newbs and asking if they wanted to duel. The proceeded to humiliate them with deathblows I saw 3 players go down. then he asked me, an armored unbuffed Wookiee carrying around his t-21.

TKM: What do duel?
Me: Can I start at 65meters kneeling?
TKM: No
ME: LOL
-pause-
TKM: Okay how about 35m?
ME: 65 or nothing, besides, i dont trust you since you are deathblowing the newbs
TKM: It was an accident
ME: Sorry, no deal
TKM CHicken
ME: LOL

That is the problem with most duels, they start at unarmed range. Why cant people duel out at 65m?

Nothing against TK, they are great as Tanks for marksmen, and probly one ofthe strongest professions out there. But I do enjoy hunting creatures without having to be armored or buffed except for some brandy. makes you feel like a God sometimes

Hey I though lunge2 was 20m.....and lunge1 was 15m.

Kinnison....I agree, for a ranged character and a melee character to start a dual within melee range is clearly a melee characters big advantage. However I beleive a balance between both is do.....start at 20m or 25m, the ranged profession can attack from any distance however inaccurate (excluding pistoleers)but outside of 20 meters a melee profession can be owned......so anything further than 20m is basically death to melee professions as long as the range person is skilled in any way and inside 20m the ranged profession is more than likely dead. That's off course if both professions don't switch between melee and ranged professions during the dual.

ok when i duel a Ranger weapon user, i guess u can call it,i target them and type '/follow' so that if they run i will always be there able to attack them. Ur character will not do the animations of special attacks but the damage will still be there. and another thing is that if ur really far away and u cant catch up to them just type '/burstrun'

Peace have fun
