Alright, I'm a Trandoshan TKA (Novice), with a secondary rifle skill, I was just wondering what type of armor, if any, works for you other TKA's? and Why?

Thanks

I use composite...

But it really depends on your situation. I usually when pvping use Bone Pants/Chest/Helm because its cheap, low enc, and can stop over 20% dmg from blaster fire. (once you get to melee you should waste the badguy and not care about a lil dmg)

What do I expect? A game that I paid $50 for and $15 a month to work.

Forget about armor. It does nothing to help TKA or brawlers. Get yourself a Personal Shield Generator.

I wear Marine chest and arms, that is all.

Works great, course I also have my stats fixed to keep my "specials" cost to a minimum, and my mind regening best it can.

I heal myself usen nice fat Stim B's for between 400-800 damage. So the slow Action pool regen does not effect me in the slightest.

Sometimes, and I rarely.. I'll slap on a helmet if I know there is going to be some range I MUST cover and expect a rifleman or two to be waiting on me. (For PvP.. )

Course if it is just PvE we are talking,I would not wear any armor, period.

Just whatI have found works best for me.

The only armor I wear is a helmet, to improve thelength of timemy mind pool lasts during battle.

I use two types of helmets:

A 29% Chitin Helmet for when I'm attacking melee creatures

A 47% Composite Helmet for when I'm attacking humanoids who like to shoot at me

From my experience, the protection outweighs the encumbrance that I get.

Well, I guess I disagree with all these guys

I use the Tantel stuff - with the helmet tht covers your face. It's holding up very well, and I can go head-to-head with everything that cons yellow to me, and some reds. I have a really nice sliced vibroknuckle (speed 1.8, damage 80-160 or something), and I'm also a CH. The armor makes ALL the difference, especially in a melee fight with enemy NPCs that do special attacks for 600 damage if you're unarmored.

I definitely use armor - BUT I don't use a lot of TKA special attacks, I just berserk and hammer. If i want a special attack (like blind or stun - don't usually use knockdown, waaay too expensive on HAM), I hotkey unequip the knuckles, pop it, then hotkey reequip them and keep goin. Yeah, it's kinda a pain, but it's functional. ~J

I too often wear a helmet, as I'm a zabrak and already have ungodly willpower, and don't really use much in the way of mind pool drain through specials, so. I never wear chest plates or leggings, although ocassionally I'll use some gloves because I think they look cool
