Thread: stat set-up for trandoshan??
As a TKM, I kind of regret choosing my race to be a Trand. Personally, I would rather be something with ahigher mind regen rate. The damage bonus isnt all that much and the health wound heal increase isnt anything that can be made up for by some medic skills. If you really want Ill go in game and pull my stats though.

Also your stat priorities change depending on where your at on your road to TKM. I started out with higher primary hams, and lower secondaries because I couldn't afford good armor. So running around nekkid. I needed alittle more padding. Once I hit meditation 2, and gained power boost. I changed my stats and I have kept them that way ever since.
Health is 800, secondaries are 600 / 700 racial mins, Action is 800, secondaries are 450 / 400 racial max(yes that is racial max on both), Mind is 800, secondaries are 500 / 500 not quite maxed on both, but good enough.
With power boost, my primary HAMs hit 1200. With some food. I can buff my secondaries to a point where special moves cost me practically nothing. If I can find a doctor. Life only gets better as I can have more HAM, and even higher secondaries to cut down costs + gain higher regen. Same goes for dancers/muscians
Bottom line is. The stats aren't really that big a deal if you plan your game time ahead with things like food, spice, and doctor/entertainer buffs. You may find that you like a set up that is completely different from mine. More power to you. I enjoy having mine as proportioned as possible.
I'm a doshan, not because of the extra bonus I get to my unarmed damage (we can get higher than a 250 damage total... 265 I think), but because I love the eerie aspect of the Trandoshan history in general. Wookie - herding for the empire and all... just sounds kick arse.
As a doshan, I have modified my stats MANY times. There really is no set template. I had high health and action stats and LOW mind stats when I started, because I used pistol specials too, and those can weigh heavy on those stats. Then I picked up Nov Medic and boosted my mind up a little over halfway to compensate for using stim-b's. Then as I progressed up the TK tree, and learned the Powerboost skill, I maxed my Mind stat up to 1000, so I could get maximum addition to my health and action stats.
My point is that it really depends on how you play. I am a firm believer in the fact that you should tweak stats until you get them where you see the desired results. Nobody can play your character like you. If you made a carbon coby of your character, and I played one, we would use them totally different. I know it doesn't sound like much advice, or concrete, but it's my honest opinion. Game on, and I hope you make a doshan because, well, we just look mean!
