Thread: Rifleman/TKA or Rifleman/MDoctor?
I am a Zabrak andalmost a Master Rifleman (4/4/4/3) and am looking for a secondary support profession.
Master Doctor is very appealing due to the buffs but eats up alot of skill pts. TKA got my attention due to all the defensive stats plus powerboost (+450 to HAMwill help my rifleman, especially the mind boost).
I have never played a Doc or TKA so I'm curious what do you all recommend? Do TKA defensive stats only apply when in melee mode? or will they protect me while I have my rifle equipped?

you should probably look in the rifleman boards for some help with this.
Both sides of the coin will tell you the benefits I'm sure. Master Rileman/MTKA will take fewer skill points, so you can put the extra into more defenses, like fencer/pikeman or whatever, so if you are looking to PvP a lot, I would think the defenses would help more, especially since doctor does not have any mitigation that I'm aware of. Thats why I'm shifting my character toprobably masterTKA and possibly some pikeman to get the Block bonuses.
I have a lot more respect for brawlers now, its pretty tough grinding up that unarmed xp, can't say if it was tougher than getting the marksman rifle xp since it's been so long since I did that, but I imagine that it compares fairly well, although with the loss of the rifle's 2.5x damage modifier now it's probably a bit easier. Also I get tons of wounds now, haha.
go MRM/TKM. the defenses and powerboost, combined with the versitle damage are all great.
Your right this probably was better suited for the Rifleman board. I posted it here since I was more curious about TKA and the experts here can probably give me better insight into how well (or not) it complements a Rifleman.
