If i get TKM would the defense line of fencer help me anything or must be a fencer weapon equipped?

Ranged and Meleedefence anddef vs "states effects" will stack.

someone was trying to tell me the weapons specific defenses are supposed to stack with TKA... ie dodge. Sounds like rumor to me?

When you've got a VK equipped, from what I've been told, your Defensive Acuity will kick in and randomly choose a defense whenever it's activates. As a TK, you'll dodge/evade, counterattack and block, regardless of what your other combat profs are.
Now, I've always wondered (and never seen it addressed) if your Defensive Acuity takes into account your proficiency in these defenses. I.e. if you are a Fencer/Pistoleer/TKM, will your DA tend to choose Dodge more than the others?
The reason I bring this up....
When I was a TKM/Master Fencer, I usually dodge'd. Not 100% of the time, but a majority of Defensive Acuity's results were a Dodge when I was these two. Now that I am a Rifleman as well, I've started to see more blocks, as well as dodges. However, I almost never see counterattacks (for which I don't have anything).
Anyone experimented with this to see if it holds true?

Like I said in another thread about CoB and DA, since I trained Blademaster Fencer ( dodge ) and Master carbineer, when I am under CoB, I counterattack and evade more than the time I was only a TKA.

So TKM + 3000 Fencer for ranged and melee defences + 4440 doctor for heals and buffs and remove dizzy/poison... would be a very good combo then?
above averageon pvp and pve?

btw the defence cap is 125 ( confirmed for dodge, counterattack, block ).
This is a good pve template, you can have some issue in pvp against ranged players ( the old don't bring a knife....and blah blah ).

I was TKM/Master fencer and dropped fencer for Rifleman. It seemed like a very good template as far as PvP. I'm going back to fencer since about 95% of all the duels end up in melee.
