Hello I am a MTKA and I was wondering what does Melee Damage Mitigation 1,2,3 do? I realize that it is to prevent damage done to you with melee weapon but I was wondering how much? I haven't noticed any reduction in damage from NTKA to MTKA

It reduces the range.

Like, let's say a sword does 70-200 damage. Melee mitigation might reduce that to 70-150. In other words, it brings the max damage down closer to the min damage.

Because of mitigation, some people look for weapons with high minimum damage when in PvP. Also, the acklay stun batons that were bugged and had a min damage at or even above max damage were crazy because they made mitigation useless.

Melee mitigation affects melee attacks, and ranged mitigation affects ranged attacks.

As Atama said, melee mitigation reduces the range. Specifically:

Mit 1: 20% reduction

Mit 2: 40% reduction

Mit 3: 60% reduction

The range is always reduced by lowering the "max damage". Minimum damage is never changed. This makes weapons with high minimum damage and/or short ranges the best to use most times in PvP because you'll be impacted the least by mitigation. Also, since in PvE, mob damage ranges are so small, you won't see too much impact when fighting in PvE.

Finally, mitigations do not stack. It simply always uses the highest Melee and Ranged mitigation you have(both melee and ranged mitigation are also always active regardless of weapon equipped).
