Thread: TKA is definitely my favorite now
Ok, when I first got the game I wanted to be a TKA so badly. Not really sure why but I just did. So after weeks and weeks playing I finally got TK Novice. I was excited, I went out and bought a pair of vibroknucklers and started kicking the crap out of things on Correlia. But as time went on I got bored, I thought it wasn't really as powerful as I first thought, all I would do is walk up to a target and use a few specials. I couldn't take on anything big...until I met a TK Master that really showed me how to fight.
He showed me how to use the Warcry, and Intimidate, and Stun, and Blind, and all that stuff. It took a while to get a hang of it but now, still at TK Novice only, I'm soloing Mountain Squill and all kinds of big things (of course I have good heals too). It's so much fun tanking for my friends when we group up hunting. I just gotta say that TKA is definitely my favorite after learning how to really fight with it. ![]()
Hehe yes, I just made friends with a Teras Kasi that's almost to master level. When him and I go out and fight he loves to see me throw a stun/blind down or an intimidate when his action is low. But, I learned that through MANY hours of unarmed fighting the hard way. Intimidate and stun are often the difference between life and death.
so you've got the hang of defensive tka play
theres also an offensive way to play tkas, and i must say its much more fun, taking a risk to get the kill 4 times faster.
Yeah, KD2 and spam hit 2 or 3 takes aKunga Leader down in no time. And thats over 5k xp which seems to be about all you'll ever get for killing anything. UseWarcry if you don't manage to kill the thing by the time it gets up.this means that the only damage that ever gets done to you is from doing specials. I rarely get hit and very rarely die, doing missions on Dantooine.
