Thread: What a pleasure to be a TKA!

I got rid of CM yesterday and after a few hours on Dant, here I am. A Novice TKA.

Being already Master Doc, I've got to admit it's great fun and a pretty good combination. The moves are great. A lot of variety in the attacks and effects you can hit targets with. I am only 0-0-1-2 but I am having a lot of fun already. It seems I can solo am impressive number of mobs with a bit of vercupti/angerian and muon gold.
Of course, that's mainly PvE. I was mainly a PvP player after being BH, then CM/Doc.
I can't wait to test my skills in PvP with my group obviously. It's gonna be tricky but tactical. I like that.
If only devs implement the Line of Sight for real just like they mentioned, it would be great.
Here we go! Let's break some teeth!

i am VERY glad to see you use the word 'tactical' in your post, all professions need to approch battle in this manner

i will be following your lead soon!

Welcome to the world of the nice & fast moves !

To train yourself against Kiting, you might want to first start some factionned missions. In case you don't have the experience, it will train you in putting/removing the VKs and also on chasing and lunging your opponents down to finish them...

Have fun !

Why do you want to remove VKs, how does it help with kiting?

Removing VK's reduces HAM costs significantly.

There is a tradeoff with them.

You have two choices. You can forgo VK's and have 0 armor piercing and slightly lower speed (which is reduced as you advance up the tree) but very very very low HAM costs.

With VK's you have light armor piercing good speed and great damage but HAM costs are very high.

The devs intended us to use regular attacks with VK's and to remove them to spam specials.

I love TKA also. I'm 4 boxes from master and can't wait.

Right now I'm 2-2-4-4 and am enjoying it very much.

Ah, ok, thanks. Do you have any tips for PvP/PvE for a n00b (0/0/1/0, soon to be 0/1/1/1) TKA? I dont really know alot about using VKs, macros, armor etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Everything is going smoothly so far.
Already up to 0-0-1-2 and so much fun.
I strongly suggest to beginners TK to get buffed and get some food/drink boosting your mind as well as some muon gold for emergencies. After that, you can easily solo voritors and a bunch of nice lil creatures like this. They'll give you 3-4K per kill. I like pikets too.

Doc/TKA owns PvE. It is that simple. Escpecially in the GCW. Rebel Troopers fall before my hands and feetlike leaves from a tree in autumn.

In PvP all you need to watch out for is the KD/Dizzy being used on you. You would think that as a Master TKA I would be hard to KD/D but whenever I go up against another brawler type I seem to always get KD/D. When it is not a brawler type then they still use there KD on me and I will fall. I swearour CoB does not work.

Still. All in all I have now won more than lost in PvP and I am new to PvP so I am happy enough.

"Re: What a pleasure to be a TKA!"

/agree

The unarmed brawling tree was the worst thing i ever had to train. After i got my Unarmed IV, originally with the intent of going smuggler, i decided I WILL NEVER GIVE UP THESE POINTS, I WILL GO TK!!!!

Although i'm still green behind the ears i will admitt it is very satisfing to take out your advesarys with nothing but your fists.

Spent some time last night inTheed duelling another TKM in the cantina giving everyone a lightshow. We buffed up on Ent. buffs and Muon, let the resident Medics heal us up and got to use all those cool unarmed spins and stuff like that.

Good fun!

Up to 2-1-1-2 now.
Jeez, that Dizzy + KD + delay combo just rocks. Mobs never get back on their feet.
It's so nice
