Thread: damage mitigation and tka and vk, a story of utter confusion
for starters lets assume i am fully buffed so the ham cost of vk aren't an issue.
from what i have read about mitigation is that it decreases the difference between minimum and maximum damage so for instance 40 - 150 vk used against an opponenet with mellee mitigation 3 is essentially 40 - 84. the way the mitigation system works it penalizes weapons which have a higher spread between min and max damage such as our beloved vk's. does anyone know what the damage spread is when fighting without vk's ?
From what I know of it, it takes the damage dealt each hit, then applys a 'limiting factor' and reduces the damage by whatever the percentage reduction you get from mitigation. I dont think the actual max/min values of the attack are effected.
Could be wrong though.
