Thread: TK's ability limitations with Swords/Fencer/Pikes equipment
I am looking for info about in how far the usage of equipment prohibits the abilities of TK.
And - since I am not TK and never have been - how you evaluate this loss of an ability vs. the advantages the equipment brings vice versa...
In detail my questions concern:
PSGs
Armor, especially battle armor
One-Handed and Two-Handed Weapons and Polearms
PS: Here are some is a skill point table to consider for a master swordsman / TK master
Genaral Melee | TK | Swords | Σ unarmed | Σ Two-Handed
Accuracy: +145 | +75 | +110 | 220 | 255
Speed: +45 | +65 | +75 | 110 | 120
Melee Defense: +160 | +75 | +50 | 235 | 210
Ranged Defense: +115 | +75 | 0 | 190 | 115
Thanks
Sharven

TK's can wear psgs with no deduction in ability. Comes in especially handy when fighting ranged opponents.
Teras Kasi artists get what is known as "Innate Armor."
Although we need more testing/comfirmation from the devs, it is believed to be equal to a suit of armor with 6k resist to all damage types. This equals roughly a 45-48% reduction in damage intake.
The downside: Equipping ANY piece of armor deactivates your innate armor, so you'll have to be careful as to you clothing choices. Right now, pre-cu ubese shirts and mabari belts do not effect TK innate armor so you can safely wear those afaik.
That being said, innate armor doesn't discriminate depending on the weapon you're using, you can wield anything and still receive innate armor protection, so you can use 1 hand, 2 hand and polearm weapons while still being protected.
I hope I have answered your questions, but if you have more, post them here and we'll try to help as much as possible.
If I have a physical armor that's better than the innate armor I equip it, if not I don't?
I know where to get armor with 6530 kinetic & energy resistance and 5500 something on the elementals. A little better than innate armor but not remarkably better. And very expensive (1 million credits for a full set...)
