I just started an alt character as a TK and am currently aNovice TK, Master Brawler. I haven't decided yet about a 2nd melee profession.
I am looking for ideas on how to progress through the TK skill levels. It seems that getting Improved COB is the most important 1st step.
What might be one or twogood progression paths for TK independent of other professions?
TIA

Well strictly going TK:
- I'd get Combo Attack - it's the best TK attack there is but that's in the 4th column and takes Combat XP not Unarmed
As for unarmed XP lines:
- CoB - box 1 line 2
- Power Boost - box 2 line 1
- Line 3 - for the Speed/Damage and Innate armor benefits
Get the 4th line as you can.

get the improved cob first. thats the way its intended.
improved cob (+500 on defenses) is generally way to powerful for a 1st tier box, but as u start with just a 2000 innate armour the devs had to give starting tkas a powerful defensive boost. all other profs can wear hi-protection armour as novice (with some speed and accuracy hinderances).
after that its just personal preferences.

Well, I'd say healing abilities of some sort are a must, and you could probably get healing exp at the same time as unarmed. Most TKM's seem to pick up at least 4000 doc, and you will want at least 0030 swords later on for the advanced armor break.
I'm one of those few freaks that doesn't have doc and gets by on novice medic... but I do it with the help of a med droid and bio clothes. I also don't duel.
