This may sound like a stupid question, but do large Nym bases give you negative Nym faction?

Hi there I need some advice. I know many of you don't like when some newbie to the profesision come along asking what can I kill?.. I DO love TK and have NO plans to give it up soon. But I am currently short on cash. I plan to setup a factory to make advance medical commpontents for my buffing. I am a Master Doctor BTW..

Here is my setup. I am a Trandoshan. Master Doc, TK 0-1-4-1 maybe a 2 on the last one. (I am at work and can't remeber the last one) I can buff myself for 534 points each stat. And I use Vasarian Brandy (A drunkard I am) I wear Ubese armor and do afew knockdowns, lunges, and Intimidates for speicle attacks. Right now I solo Sharnaffs just fine. I also use a VK but I am faster hitting without it. I rarely find myself in trouble with that setup.

What I like to know is what can I solo that pays well and that I can get from a mission terminal by myself maybe with a pet grouped? Sharnaffs are 12k mission but only if I forst group with others. Also I would like to play it safe and avoid DB mobs..

Any advice you could give me would help alot. I simply havn't had much time to explore the diffrent worlds as I been working on my MD profession.

Thank you...

Hmmm....

What I do for income with TKA is using my Scout skills to harvest creatures. Wooly hides, some different meats (insect meat and herbivore meat seem to sell well), and things like eggs and such I sell off. Its actually a pretty good way to make money, but its not as... reliable as just mission payouts or armor smithing, or buffing . Recently, on my server we had some great carnivore meat and wooly hide run through Endor. I loaded up on hides and meat, and am going to start leaking them out. Other times, Ill have tons of grind quality resources that I can just dump on the market for whatever someone wants them for.

There is a great resource in the Ranger and Scout forums about what resources are needed by what professions. By loading up on the ones that people want/need, Im able to make a comfortable living. But there, the more scout skills the better. Ive actually been pondering taking up ranger just to be able to harvest better.

At your level I would try large Nym Bases on Lok. If you use a mission term they will always be the missions above 9500 credits in worth. You may hafta refresh a few times to get a large camp though as regular Nym Camps also come up with the same cash value. But I prefer the large bases because you get better loot drops.

Basically each large base contains 2-3 guys. A TK with your damage shouldn't have too much problems with them... Just be sure to unarmed lunge if they try to kite. Get em knocked down and dizzy and kill.

The missions themselves go by pretty quickly, so it's not hard to earn 100K in an hour. But the other bonus is Nym guys drop weapon power ups from time to time. You can get components for better knucks, as well as components for non-melee weapons as well.

I'll wait til I have a nice collection of these and go to my fave weaponsmiths. Sell the components for ranged weapons (I don't use ranged at all) and have them make me some nice knucks from the advanced vibro components I get.

Once you get to Master TK, you can really make money quick by running Junta missions on Dantooine. You'll need a group to pull them (or an AT-ST grouped with you if imperial) but they payout like 24K per mission. Though challenging, for a TK/Doc you should be able to solo em pretty easily once a master of both.

I've made 300K in 90 mins running these missions if I'm really hardcore grinding em down as quick as possible. And I need to stop and powerboost and sit through muon downers. Something you won't need to do as a doc so you'll be even quicker.

Just make sure you've got your good kinetic armor going. These guys aren't push overs and they all seem to be "Master Brawlers" as far as their NPC skill set.

At 0141 you can, if I remember, toss a Bantha across the room with no problem. Good Ubese and buffs you should have no problem. The missions don't pay *that* much (I think it's around 7K) but the hides sell like gold. The other thing is Quenkers on Dant. Missions, again, pay fairly low (~5100) but you can kill all of them in 5 minutes and they don't DB (I'm talking regular quenkers not savage or any other kind) and they give fantastic XP (at 0141 I seem to remember around 2000 each - somebody weigh in on the numbers here please). If you can get in a group with a couple of big pets you can go after Enraged Rancors. You probably can't solo the lairs yet but in a group of 2 with another TKA or really good ranged support you can handle it and with good pets out you can get the missions at 36K each - plus they don't poison like voritors on Dantor dizzy like Bulls on Dath will.

1) fly to dantooine

2) join or form a large group, solo-friendly.

3) take the highest paying missions possible

4) do them solo. If the group is out of range you take full payout. Adjust whether or not you spam UH3 on the Lair depending on your success with doing so. It doesnt make much diff. kill all the creatures/npc or try to cheese your way to the fastest possible payout.

The attic was less to us from the cellar the bones like the attic let them have it let them stay in the attic. When they sometimes come down the stairs at night and stand perplexed behind the door and headboard of the bed brushing that chalky skull with chalky fingers with sounds like the dry rattling of a shutter. Thats what I sit up in the dark to say.

Savage Quenkers on Dantooine - about 7k

Pikets on Dantooine - over 9k

And if you can hang with the pikets you may try Giant Baz Nitches on Dathomir. 11k a mission and they only come out in twos, its just a dangerous area for a non master to be but you are master doc....so buffs will make you able to do just fine I think. I made a almost 500k creds in about half a day doing the giant baz nitches. Not a bad target.

Gaw's Guide to Quenkers:

Get a buff and some brandy. Group with and park a pet at the Mining Outpost. Jam through the mission selection screen (all Quenker missions pay from 5000 to 5300 and no other missions pay that, so you don't even really need to open them and look to KNOW they are quenker missions.) You usually need to look at doing 5 or 6 refreshes before you get a mission. Take it and keep refreshing until you get the next one. I take it even if it is in the opposite direction. If both are in the same sort of direction (maybe one S the other SW) I head out. Otherwise I go until a third mission shows up the is in the same direction as one of the 2 I have already taken. I then go in and abort the mission that is the wrong direction and take the other one in the "good" direction from the terminal. Head out.

Fly right up to the nest, drink some brandy and wail on the 2 quenkers with Unarmed Hit 2. Seems to take about 6 or so hits to drop each. I have a harvest macro (just /harvestcorpse meat) that I hit after both are dead. Hit the lair for about 25%. While you kill the second spawn, the third spawn will automatically pop out as the lair decays below 50% kill those 2 as well and harvest all 4. Nuke the lair.

Even unarmored (I'm a wookiee) I rarely drop to below 1/2 on any stat, although I have to watch for the brandy running out.

You should be able to jump off your bike do your business and be back on riding to the next lair in about 3 minutes. Each adult quenker pays over 3000 XP, but you usually get one baby. So 5 X 3000 for the quenkers and maybe 2000 for the lair = 17000 XP and 5100cr per lair. You should be able to do 2 lairs and the whole round trip getting new missions in under 15 minutes. So, minimum of 4 "sorties" per hour = 136,000 XP and around 41,000cr.

Although other lairs on Dant pay more, they take longer to complete. Quenkers are fast, lucrative and fairly risk free.

I made half a million credits just grinding out missions at novice TK. It only took like 1.5 - 2 weeks of casual game play to do so.

Keep in mind that I am also a Master Creature handler with a level 61 kimo to pull higher level missions. It was a good decision to buy that kimo, he payed for himself in like 4 days

Coming up TKA I switched from the quenkers (which though they don't pay alot they are quick to do) to doing Pikets. Missions pay 9k , and the meat sells well.

with a group it's rancors all the way.

i do exactly what nikaya said, get a 'solo' group and hit tribe missions for 26k a pop, if you can get these missions at a player city with 'improved job market' for a higher payout still.

If you dont care for xp... dont fight the npc's at all, just kill the lair and bike off to next mission, after all this way it doesnt affect yer faction standings for some reason. 400kish per 3hr buff.
