Wouldn't it be neat if we got different stances to take?
In martial arts there are stances: Tiger stance, Defense stance, Walking stance, Horse stance...all of them look different and have a purpose. Stances in SWG as a TKA could have a corresponding effect; nothing overpowering, just adding defense for instance, while lowering damage output, and vice versa. And best of all, we wouldn't maintain the same boring unarmed stance that everyone (even non-TKA) use.

nice idea, but if they ever choose to implement it (which they probably wont) then it should be given to ALL melee classes, since unarmed fighting isn't the only form of combat that uses various stances.

That's fine with me. I think it would add a nice strategic flair.

Im in for it.. Anything else than that 1930' boxer stance we got now.. And as you progress in the TKA trees you would get some new.. for instance you got the defense stance with the defense line and so on.

This kind of reminds me of the "tanking-mode" feature they were going to put in for TKA. Basically, our defense would be increased oodles, and we could barely attack at all. Of course in the end, they just gave everyone Center of Being, and ours doesn't even work. Same thing could be applied in this situation, though different stances for melee professions WOULD be very nice to see.
The only problem there is that they would need to do motion capture for it.. so unless they seriously consider adding some useful effects for each stance then they probably won't bother with it at all.

Yeah, the motion capture costs money, but I'm thinking since they can add as many new dances as they are soon, they can give the fighters some fluff-love too. Even if stances bring no combat benefits, at least make us look like experts in our field.
According to the art department report a while back, gun-wielders will be getting in-combat auto-emotes like twirling their pistols, etc. Stances should fit in their somewhere too.
