I am fighting my way up to TKM, and I'm a Novice Commando too. Should I get Flamethrower IV and TKM, or TKM and Master Doctor? Buff myself and heal my wounds with meditation and wound packs... hmm.
I don't know, all this resource stuff confuses me, with the harvesters and all the prices and meats and whatever... kinda gives me a headache, I've only had this for two months...
What would you suggest? TKM + what?

thats a really good combination but you wont have much defenses and no ranged weapon so you might get killed alot more. I would suggest going master tka 0440 in doctor and 4400 in fencer. You can buff yourself cure yourself res players and have all kinds of defenses from fencer. The downfall is you wont be able to make you own doctor stuff so you will have to buy it. But i dont think that is such a bad downfall.

I am a master doc and TKM on Gorath and i can tell you, there is many more benefits from behing a Master Doc then just buffing yourself.
You can heal dizzy, poison, disease, and fire, making you immune to combat medics and to commando's flame throwers.
You can an heal entire bars with one button, you can as well move all your points into mind since you buff yourself, giving yourself outstanding mind stats.
Also can heal mass wounds if you dont want to meditate. You are good in raids, and can keep large groups from being able to be hurt by combat medics, you can also Rez, finding a group wont be a problem.
Your best bet is to find a very good medical supplier for buffpacks and stimpack D's or E's, buy a storage droid, some +25 wound treatment clothes, and to buy some bivoli food for better buffs.
Buy some Canapes, Brandy, a suit of 80% kinetic, and you will be godly in a battle, just stay away from them rifles! ^^

Using godly buffs myself ( +1250 base and abovedue to long extinct resources) with powerboost, and all the foods i can eat, i look at each stat with over 6500, mind is 6000

after you get those 2 master classes, you will have i think 21 points left.
I recommend doing novice scout and getting terran negotiation, makes for better running.

Also if i remember rightly u dont have enough points to get doc 0440 and fencer 4400 with MTK , think it was 3400 or 4300 fencer , one of the two

I play as a master doc, TKM, with 18 points left over, I shift those from artisan to scout depending if I need meat or need to place harvestors, in pve, you cant argue with the mellee skills, I'm usually at the forefront healing draging and rezzing, and taking a lot of hits, I almost never use a vk when Im in doctor mode, cant affordthe hit to the mind; pvp feels like a fun game for the ranged support called "get the doc" though, force of will has saved my ass a lot in those tight spots, I use power boost to good effect as well, hell of a good good skill that, and during long hunts I'v found the abillity to heal my mind stats without the need to run off and find a dancer to be invalluable as a doc, and yup, Im perma buffed, maxed all mind stats, some of the armour I wear has sickening encumberance, but its the price I pay for getting the highest resists I can find, got to love that constant buff.

well I am a 4-0-4-2 scout already and someone told me to get Survey 2 for placing harvesters at good spots... TKM will be easy to reach, but I fear Doctor and Medic are going to be long pains in the ass... Medic is going really slow at the moment, I barely find people to heal, and when I do I barely get exp for it... well, this game is made to keep us all playing to boredom, I guess.

Medic is pretty simple to master.
Check out the hospitals in bigger cities (Coronet, Corellia is the best). There are almost always people there tumbling for you to heal on during prime hours, and sometimes even late at night (afk-ers doing it). If you can't find anyone at the hospitals, go to a cantina and heal the entertainers there. It's not as fast as tumblers, but an almost guranteed place to find people.
As for what to use, I simply made a butt-ton load of Stimpack A's and used those. They are easy to make, take few resources and are made quickly. I usually just sat down, made 20 or so, let the macro run and watched some tv for abit. I'd check back every once and awhile and make more stims if need be.
All in all you can Master Medic (including the crafting branch - another reason to make your own Stim A's) easily in a day if you got a dedicated tumbler.

Yes you do,
if you do tkm, 2 skill tree's in doctor, and 2 skill tree's in fencer, u will have exactly 2 skill points left. provided you dont have any scout skill which is a downside.

I am TKM, Doc 4-4-4-0 for buffs and status affects on myself and guildies, Scout 3-0-3-0 for terrain negotiation and harvesting of resources.
With my clothes and bivoli I have wound treatment of +122 and have a med use rating of 90. All of the meds i need i get for next to nothing thanks in part to my harvesting abilities. I supply the crafting Docs with the materials needed.
