Thread: TKA 0/0/1/0 (almost 1/0/1/1): What do I do now?

I've been living on Corellia for a while and I got my char to TKA (go me), and now I've started climbing the tree. The problem is on Corellia I don't seem to be able to get a mission with a difficulty of over 15.

I looked at the FAQ which suggested getting buffed and going to Fort Tusken or Dantooine or Dathomir. Fort Tusken and Dathomir were pretty much disasters, even buffed up.

My problem is I'm getting difficulty 15 missions no matter what I do: buffed/unbuffed, armor on, VK on or not, etc. etc. etc.

I'd like to try missions with difficulty 20 or 25. All I could get on Dathomir was Diff: 40 missions which was a little insane (I actually finished one solo...I was proud of that, but it took forever). Can anyone suggest how I go about getting those missions? Is there a 2nd tier planet I should be on (that's not the supposedly ueber laggy Dantooine), or something?

:\

Thanks!

What I did at your stage was I went to lok and started taking some missions there. Anything that was 20-40 for difficulty. Once your about 3-3-3-3 then head to dath or dant. It only took me about a week of gameplay to become a master TKA doing it this way.

no. the best thing to do is get full buffs, get a vk of course... get a mind buff and some brandy and head to dant. get in a solo hunting group, a good sized one, and get savage quenker missions that are level 70+. quenkers are easy and they give about 4k xp a kill

I managed to get from novice to master this way in about a week.

Hope that helped.

I'm only 1111 and currently doing the regular quenker missions. They're quick, they pay good, over 5k, and they're 2551xp apiece. And, better yet, at most, 2 at a time. Not the 5 that a hurton liar will throw at you. And I'm not buffed, and unarmored. Just some brandy and some stim packs. I really don't see how you can have that big a problem with them, if you're at the same stage I was, about the Corellia type tiger/bagerset missions that were, literally 1 punches.

Forget Quenkers... they kite like you wouldn't believe now that their ranged attack is fixed.

TKA 0-1-3-1 here.

I still do Savage quenkers and quenkers from time-to-time, and with the last patch yes their ranged attacks are fixed, but it is really no problem. Just /follow the blighters. ALso, they give up on the ranged attack once you target them (eventually) and come after you.

Quenkers, savage quenkers and quenker ravagers (mind their poison - keep muos and brandy handy incase the mind poison you!) are all highly viable XP propositions. At my level I can drop em fast and get amost 4k XP per when in a "solo group".

"get a mind buff and some brandy and head to dant. get in a solo hunting group"

Ok, this advice seems pretty common... two follow up questions if I may:

1) How do I get a mind buff? I read that it happened if I watched master musicians/dancers for 8 minutes, but they're always afk, and just watching them doesn't seem to do anything. Is there another way to get a mind buff?

2) What is a solo hunting group?

Thanks,

I usually just use 2, 400+ brandy for mind buff. It's much cheaper then what you get from a dancer/musician and is more then enough to keep specials from wearing down your mind. They only last 30 to 40 minutes though and you may have to wait a couple minutes for yourdrink bar to lower to use them again. But if you want entertainer buffs, the entertainer has to activate them so you will have to talk to them first, then watch them.

Also, a solo hunting group is where a bunch of people group together but go do their missions on their own. By grouping with other people you will get access to higher level missions on the mission terminal. And since only people close to the mission area get money from a completed mission, it works out well for all. Just be carefull not to pick missions that are over your head.

Thankfully I got up to 3/4/4/4 before the publish after 3 nights of soloing on Dant, so I got in my quenker killin'. After I got 0/1/4/3 I started doing Janta missions for 30,000 credits per mission.

Here's what I would suggest.

1. Go to dantooine

2. Get buffed

3. Get in a big group (you're going to solo though)

4. Pull savage quenker missions (4k ham, 3900 exp per kill while grouped, in a big group 15 per lair, some babies, usually at least 12 adult mobs though)

5. Rinse wash repeat

Quenkers die easily. I ground out Carbineer on Dantooine and it went quick. I use this method myself and in one 2 hour sitting I got 320k TKA xp. Dantooine = laggy though, and sometimes you can't find a doctor on the planet (at least on bloodfin) but its only a hop away from Corellia.

AcK! Disregard my post. I haven't been on since publish and didn't know they fixed quenkers.
