What is the better combination? A doctor can buff, which is certainly useful. However, the wound-healing abilityloses its usefulness (on yourself, at least) since a TKM can already heal its own wounds. A combat medic has the advantage of healing its mind and poisoning, which is useful for PvP.
I'd like to be able to buff myself, but MCM is looking pretty good due to the mind-healing/poisoning. What do you suggest?

Unfortunately you cannot heal your own mind. (yet?). The doc is good so you don't need defenses to states but anytime you can stack mind diseases you will be looking more offensive and will not have to worry about continually healing yourself. I usually get waxed by people with strong mind disease. Im currently TKM and Fencer Master, and also Pisoleer for defenses. Just my opinion though. Good luck either way.

Thanks for the quick response.
I think I'm going to go for doctor now, but that may change.

TKM/MD was a blast.... Probly the best combo I have tried to date. Trust me try it.. Nothing beats buffing yourself. You are a true independent hunter with that combo. Didn't do much PvP with it. But I imagen you stop a CM in there tracks if you have a MD.

FYI you can not be master TK and master CM, that leaves you 11 skill points too many.

Sounds like it's worth a shot, then.
I was leaning towards MD in the first place.

I didn't realize this at first... didn't feel like counting
Thanks for the information.
